By Mark Barrett
This is a 40-slide PowerPoint presentation which would be great as a starting point with a class about to embark on a study of Hamlet OR as a revision-aid once they have studied the play.
It includes questions and discussion points as well as a review quiz at the end.
The PowerPoint is constructed as follows:
AP Spanish Language Mystery Pictures
By ARIANA PEREZ
4 hidden images from Hispanic artists.
This is a perfect bundle for the beginning and end of the course since it goes over the course and can be used as a pre-assessment, assessment.
This bundle includes an activity with 20 questions that contains two hidden images to be discovered. The questions are about vocabulary choice, Reading comprehension and grammar points that are often needed in AP Spanish classes.
The Second activity is activity where students will practice WORD choice, sentence structure, grammar and Reading practice. There will be two images to uncover in this “PRUEBA.” This one is titled Prueba as it can be used as a fun mock exam day. Games are a great way to practice for AP exams because students are learning and reviewing in a fun way rather than feeling the pressure of testing. There should be a balance in class and games can always be used.
These mystery pictures are self-correcting therefore are ideal for homework, and substitute teacher days. You can use them at the beginning of the year and have students write down how many they missed and have them do it again when they have had the opportunity to explore all the topics covered in AP Spanish Language class.
The Third Activity focuses on writing sentences and grammar. Students will drag fragments in order to create a sentence or select the correctly written sentence. This is not part of the AP Spanish course but it is ideal for students to practice their writing skills.
This bundle is part of my GBL Program.
Help your students gain confidence by practicing through playing.

French Imperative Lesson - With and Without Pronouns
By Love Learning Languages - French Resources
French Imperative Lesson - With and Without Pronouns - Distance Learning
This is a lesson on how to make affirmative and negative commands in French both with and without pronouns. Students will learn that when they want to use double pronouns with the imperative, a few things change. This lesson guide is part of my comprehensive lesson on the imperative which includes the following resources that are available individually or as a money saving bundle. You may choose to teach this lesson yourself or use my free 41 minute video lesson if you have to be absent, want to use it for distance learning, or if you have a sub who doesn't speak French. I have created all of the following resources to make a comprehensive lesson plan that will help students practice and master the French imperative.
Teacher and Student Instructions:
STEP 1 ➯ Download the 9 page lesson and follow it closely while teaching how to use pronouns with the imperative. The lesson includes all of the essential rules beginning with the formation of the imperative and finishing with affirmative and negative commands with pronouns and double pronouns. To keep your students on their toes as you teach, move ahead to STEP 2 before distributing a copy of the lesson for them to add to their French folder.
STEP 2 ➯ Download the 9 page cours and distribute a copy to your students. They can use it to follow along and take notes while listening to you teach the lesson. There are spaces for them to fill in missing information that they will learn as you explain everything. Taking their own notes will help them retain the new information.
The following resources supplement this lesson and are part of the BUNDLE:
STEP 3 ➯ Recorded listening comprehension exercise - TU. Distribute the worksheet and students should be ready to write as they are led through an audio exercise. Students will hear a sentence being read beginning with _Tu veux...._ Listen carefully for the verb being used, and restate the sentence using the imperative. In this exercise, use the TU form every time, and no pronouns are used. Answer key included.
STEP 4 ➯ Recorded listening comprehension exercise - VOUS. Distribute the worksheet and students should be ready to write as they are led through an audio exercise. Students will hear a sentence being read beginning with _Vous voulez...._ Listen carefully for the verb being used, and restate the sentence using the imperative. In this exercise, use the VOUS form every time, and no pronouns are used. Answer key included.
STEP 5 ➯ Recorded listening comprehension exercise - NOUS. Distribute the worksheet and students should be ready to write as they are led through an audio exercise. Students will hear a sentence being read beginning with _Nous voulons...._ Listen carefully for the verb being used, and restate the sentence using the imperative. In this exercise, use the NOUS form every time, and no pronouns are used. Answer key included.
STEP 6 ➯ Written translation exercise - English to French - This exercise is meant to be simple and really focuses on what was taught in the lesson. A 5 minute audio file is included in which I walk students through the exercise and provide explanations just as you would in a classroom setting. This can be especially helpful if students are distance learning and need further help with the written work. You may wish to listen to my explanations and use some of my ideas when explaining the work yourself.
STEP 7 ➯ Written translation exercise - English to French - This exercise if for advanced learners or for those working at a higher level. This exercise will provide a challenge! It includes the imperative with pronouns and double pronouns with and without negation as well as other advanced level grammatical structures. A 9 minute audio file is included in which I walk students through the exercise and provide explanations just as you would in a classroom setting. This can be especially helpful if students are distance learning and need further help with the written work. You may wish to listen to my explanations and use some of my ideas when explaining the work yourself.
STEP 8 ➯ Written exercise - Reformulate French sentences and transform them into imperative commands. A 14 minute audio file is included in which I walk students through the exercise and provide explanations just as you would in a classroom setting. This can be especially helpful if students are distance learning and need further help with the written work. You may wish to listen to my explanations and use some of my ideas when explaining the work yourself.
STEP 9 ➯ Written exercise - Give commands using double pronouns. An 11 minute audio file is included in which I walk students through the exercise and provide explanations just as you would in a classroom setting. This can be especially helpful if students are distance learning and need further help with the written work. You may wish to listen to my explanations and use some of my ideas when explaining the work yourself.
STEP 10 ➯ 50 practice cards. This set of cards will help students truly master the French imperative with and without pronouns and negation. All cards are numbered, and there's a numbered answer key. I'm including 3 PDF versions to fit your teaching needs: 1 per page with answers shown on every other slide, 1 per page with no answers (refer to numbered key), 4 per page with no answers to print and cut out.
Check out my new Build Your Own French Bundle option. Select resources from my store, and if they total $20 or more I'll quickly create a special order bundle for you at 20% off. No sale items or other already discounted bundles can be included.

By Love Learning Languages - French Resources
French Past Conditional Lesson - Should have, Could have, Would have
This resource includes the following:
➯ A set of 25 numbered cards with sentences written in English that students will then translate to French. A numbered answer key is also included so that students can work on their own. It is expected that students also know some other past tenses and some simple pronouns that are normally taught way before the past conditional.
➯ A one page printable reference guide that folds into a booklet that students can use for easy reference. The booklet includes all of the essential information needed for saying should have, could have, and would have.
➯ A two page study guide on forming the present conditional that highlights how to say should have, could have, and would have. If you do double-sided printing you can still just pass out one sheet of paper. The study guide is jam packed with everything you need to know about the past conditional.
Here's the link to my video tutorial on how to use should have, could have, and would have in the past conditional. The study guide included with this resource follows the information given in the video lesson.
