This guided descriptive essay asks students to describe a nutcracker. There are three separate options to use based on the level and ability of your students.

Option 1: A full five-paragraph essay with three body paragraphs and an introduction and conclusion are required. This includes a planning page, a student requirement page, and a rubric.

Option 2: A fill-in-the-blank essay is used for young writers learning to spell and write. It includes a planning page, a student-required description, and a nutcracker to color according to the description.

Lots of students love just a Cheese Pizza, but when they see all the types of delicious paper toppings they can add to their special pizza, they can’t wait. Students learned tracing, cutting, gluing, and placing (overlapping) skills during this 2-Day Art Unit. Students shared who they were making the special pizza for and their favorite pizza toppings.
