Candy Corn Beginning Letter Sounds: Cards and Worksheet
By Inspired By MlG
This activity, "Candy Corn Beginning Letter Sounds: Cards and Worksheet," is designed to reinforce students' understanding of beginning letter sounds. Here are some ways it can benefit them:
1. Phonemic Awareness: It helps students develop phonemic awareness, which is the ability to identify and manipulate individual sounds in words. This is a crucial skill for reading and spelling.
2. Letter-Sound Correspondence: The activity strengthens students' understanding of letter-sound correspondence, which is the relationship between a letter and its associated sound. This knowledge is essential for decoding words and learning to read.
3. Visual Discrimination: The use of pictures allows students to practice visual discrimination, which involves recognizing similarities and differences between objects. This skill is helpful for identifying letters and words.
4. Fine Motor Skills: Coloring the thumbs up or thumbs down requires students to use fine motor skills, which can improve their handwriting and overall coordination.
5. Engagement: The use of candy corn as a theme can make the activity more engaging and fun for students, especially around Halloween.
6. Differentiation: The activity can be easily adapted to different learning levels. For example, you could provide more or fewer cards, or use simpler or more complex words.
Overall, this activity provides students with a fun and interactive way to practice important literacy skills.

*** How to get TeachShare credits to use on future purchases ***
Go to your My Purchases page. Beside each purchase you'll see a Provide Feedback button, click it and you will be taken to a page where you can leave a quick rating and a short comment about the product. Why is feedback so important? Each time you provide feedback, you’ll earn TeachShare credits that can be applied to future purchases to save you money! Plus, the feedback you provide helps me make my products better suit your needs!
*** How To Follow My Store ***
