This is a one-page full-color game board with spaces marked in Spanish. It can be used with trivia cards, task cards, or flashcards for a quick and painless set up. My students love playing this quick game during learning centers. This game includes a version with directions printed on the board and a version without directions. Use this hands-on scientific method activity during a matter unit, or as a fun science center. Perfect for some fun after break!

You will need:

- a clear jar (such as a mason jar)

- 2 cups of water

- 2 tablespoons baking soda

- 6 tablespoons white vinegar

- food coloring (optional)

The question and procedure is filled in on the recording sheet. Students will need to formulate and record their hypothesis, materials, observations, and conclusion. There are guiding questions to help students think about what happened during the experiment.

The reaction created by the mixture of the baking soda and vinegar causes CO2 to form, creating gas bubbles that make the corn "hop" around.

Roll a pumpkin game, perfect for October! Students will roll a die and the number rolled corresponds with something to draw on the pumpkin. Also included are a few different pumpkin shapes that the students can pick from. I had my students do this for 10-15 minutes and just see how many things they could add to their pumpkin. This would also work great as a math center!

Students will have lots of fun completing subtraction facts all while going around the room searching for their next clue (answer).

This is a great movement exercise to get those students moving while learning and memorizing subtraction facts.

Assemble this center by printing, cutting and laminating the pieces. This file contains: - one "EVEN PIZZA" - one "ODD PIZZA" - 30 topping cards featuring an assortment of single and double digit numbers - a bonus worksheet for extra even and odd sorting practice ** If you'd like students to be able to check their own work, simply add stickers to the back of the pieces before laminating. Cross and toss is a dice game that allows students to practice their addition or multiplications facts in a fun way.

Students take turns rolling two dice and add the numbers shown. Then they cover or cross that number on the recording sheet provided.

Spring short vowel mini set - Included is one of each of the activities featuring short a.

Students will write and wipe or use manipulative letters. Students will build letters using flower petals, tap out sounds with Mr. Frog, and slowly talk with Mr. Turtle. Turtle and Frog are ready to be printed and attached to popsicle sticks for hopping / walking along each word. Use them again and again in your small groups or centers.

Turtle Talk

Materials - Picture cards, turtle

Directions - 

We will be talking very slowly like a turtle!  We call this turtle talk.  Look at the picture.  What is it?  Say the word slowly.  Tap out every sound you hear.  Write the letters on the card.  Use your turtle to walk and turtle talk the word you made!   

Flower Building

Use the letters on each flower to build words. Each set has 3 pages to provide appropriate support for your students. You will have one blank page, one with the medial sound written, and one with word families.
