This is a movie watch along to go with Pixar's Wall-E! While watching the movie, students will focus on the sequence of events throughout the movie. They will take doodle notes of the major events in the beginning, middle, and end. Then they will describe each of the events in writing. Finally, they will put 5 major events into chronological order, (an event bank is provided).

**Doodle notes are notes that students take where they doodle down the content and ideas instead of only writing like traditional notes***

This is a novel study to go along with Kate DiCamillo’s Novel Because of Winn-Dixie. This product includes completed lesson plans for each chapter, a Google Slide Show for each chapter, Doodle Notes for each chapter, and an End of chapter activity for each chapter. Students will practice analyzing characters and character traits, central idea, supporting details, creating summaries, Problem and Solution, Cause and Effect, Comparing and Contrasting, and building discussion skills!

A large part of this novel study is discussion-based. I have included a slide on the slideshow where you will put your classroom expectations for discussions. There are also times for the introduction to the chapter, you will start with a whole group discussion. (I would maybe recommend turn and talks if you use groups in your classroom)

The Lesson Plans and Google Slides are editable for you. You can edit them on Google Slides and/or Microsoft PowerPoint (I would recommend Google Slides because that is the app that it was created with). **The standards are not included in the lesson plans due to each state having their own standards**

This is a movie watch along to go with Pixar's Wall-E! While students watch the movie, they will focus on 3 story elements. They will use adjectives to describe 5 characters of the story, they will also analyze and describe the 2 main settings of the story by drawing and writing about the settings, and they will order the events chronologically that they happen in the story (an event bank is included).

This is a great product to help keep students focused and on task during the movie and great practice for story elements. I hope you enjoy it! Please rate and review.

This is a movie watch along to go with Pixar's Wall-E! While watching the movie, students will analyze the characters in the movie, using adjectives to describe 4 of the characters. Students will also analyze the changes that happen in Wall-E from the beginning of the story to the end and describe the events that cause changes in Wall-E. Lastly, students will talk about the impact that Eve has on the story.

This is a movie watch along to go with Pixar's Toy Story. Students will answer questions about main idea and theme while they watch the movie. This is a great product for a fun Friday, and even a quick assessment of main idea and theme.

This is a movie watch along to go with Pixar's Wall-E! While watching the movie, students will analyze the Point of View the story is told from, and Eve's attitude towards Wall-E. Students will have to identify which point of view (1st Person, 2nd Person, or 3rd Person) the story is told from and describe how they know. Then they will describe Eve's attitude towards Wall-E at the beginning of the story and how it changes throughout the story and what events cause those changes.

**Doodle-Notes - While watching the movie, students will take notes on events that help them identify the POV and attitude at the beginning, middle, and end. Students will doodle their notes instead of just writing like traditional note-taking. This is to help students develop note-taking skills and keep them on task.**

This is a great product to help keep students engaged and focused during the movie and practice their reading comprehension skills. I hope you enjoy it! Please rate and review.

This is a physical escape room to be completed after reading the Lorax. Students will answer comprehension questions for their clues along with spelling some sight words and vocabulary words. It all ends with them unscrambling letters to make the door code.

This will take some prep. You will need to print off all the clues (which I included some options already) like the gloves and the watering can. You then hang those up around the room for the students to find. Have a stack of clues by that item so students can get their next clue.

I would recommend having the students complete this in groups no bigger than 3 or 4. Each group will need a clue sheet so they can keep track of their clues and also provide you with answers. This also has the area where they will provide the door code. You will also need to provide the timer for the students. I recommend putting it on a projector board so all the students can see the time.

You start off by showing the students the intro message from the Lorax, then you provide the groups with the clue sheets, and Clue # 1.

If you would like to do a virtual escape room, I also have created one to go along with The Lorax.

Students will complete the story by filling in the blanks with the correct sight words. There is a word bank to help with spelling, but students will use some of the sight words multiple times. They will also take a deeper look into Hiccup's character and how he changes from the beginning of the movie to the end of the movie and what events cause that change. This is a watch-along activity to go with the movie How to Train Your Dragon. Students will take doodle notes as they watch, analyzing hints that tell them what point of view is the story being told in, and also the Hiccup and Stoick's attitude towards dragons and each other. They will then identify what point of view the story is told in and how they know. Then they will describe Hiccup's attitude towards his dad and how it changes and Stoick's attitude towards dragons and how it changes.

This is a watch-along activity to go with the movie How to Train Your Dragon. Students will start by taking doodle notes as they watch. Then they will list the major events in the story.

Doodle Notes: This is a great way to allow students to visualize what they are watching/reading. Instead of writing what they see, students "doodle" what they are seeing/hearing. This is also a great accommodation for students who might need support with writing.
