Dive into Summer Math Literacy with this Identify, Count, Next Dollar Up Method Money Skills unit! Support your students in identifying money, counting money, matching dollar amounts to currency, and making purchases using the "next dollar up" method. This comprehensive unit has 3 differentiated levels of math skills all with a Summer theme - from Interactive Google slides, Offline Interactive .pdf, and Printable Task Cards, you have an entire Summer Math Unit planned for you to reach ALL of your learners!

This Summer Money Unit reinforces money skills with progressively more complex tasks beginning with matching dollar to dollar, progressing to matching prices with dollars, then using the next dollar up method to make a purchase. The currency is in US dollars from $1 to $10. There are 3 levels of learning with 10 cards per level!

This differentiated Summer math unit is designed to increase fluency in basic math skills and concepts (money identification, counting money) while also allowing students to think critically and problem-solve (making purchases using the next dollar up method.). Students of all ages can practice in a fun and interactive way while learning valuable skills that will help them in school and beyond. By allowing students to explore math concepts in a fun way, they can learn more effectively, while also discovering a newfound love and appreciation for math. 

Combining interactive practice with hands-on task card practice, this product provides an innovative way to teach math skills to Kindergarten  - 2nd Grade students as well as students who need differentiated learning no matter what their age, including Transition To Work students!

This resource is designed to expose students to a variety of real-world shopping situations. Students are given a prices on products and are asked to look at the money provided and determine if they have enough money. Students will also be asked look at the price of real products and identify the correct amount of money needed. Students will also calculate totals of multiple items

How to use this product:
