This resource serves as a start-to-finish way to teach speech language therapy students or English language learners the correct form of present tense verbs. The use of community helpers naturally elicits present tense verbs, while also providing opportunity for vocabulary development. Start by producing short sentences with community helper flashcards, then advance skills by using fill-in-the-blank sentence worksheets, sentence writing worksheets, and reading comprehension worksheets.

There are a total of 40 Clip Cards which many include a visual to support students to determine the appropriate pronoun. These clip cards are great to identify and explore which pronoun applies. With these clip cards, students are encouraged to choose the following pronoun.

HE – SHE – IT - THEY

Pronouns are words that take the place of a Noun. For example “he, she, it, they”.

Students simply use a peg or clip to identify each individual answer on the clip cards. In addition, there is a Pronoun poster which explains pronouns further.

Learn about affixes with these prefix and suffix reference cards and task cards. Each prefix and suffix has as least one reference card that features the affix, it's meaning, a word that uses the affix with a corresponding visual, as well as a simple definition of the word. How to Use

The reference cards are perfect for placing in a writing center or on a ring for students to reference examples of various affixes for meaning and uses. The task cards are created for a center activity where students underline the different parts of each word then write the meaning of these words on the task card. Practice reading words with affixes with these prefix and suffix reading cards. Students will have fun reading sentences with prefixes and suffixes with this this literacy activity.

What is Included:

These reading rings contain 7-11 cards for each prefix and suffix included.

Ways to Use:

• The rings can be created to focus on one prefix or suffix at a time, or they can be used to create a larger ring with all the prefixes and suffixes mixed together.
