✮ Spanish months, days, and seasons game - Tengo, ¿Quién tiene...? ✮

This version includes 27 cards. Depending on class size you could either give each student more than one card or have them play with a partner. I recommend printing out and laminating these cards if possible so that you can use them over and over again.

Here's how this game works. Once each student has a card (or cards), the one who has the card that says Empiezo el juego begins the game. He says, for example, Empiezo el juego. Tengo mayo. ¿Quien tiene el otoño? The person who has the card with otoño on it says, Tengo el otoño. ¿Quien tiene jueves? And so the game goes on until the last card is called and that student's card will say, El juego ha terminado!

Another idea is to prepare two sets of cards, divide your class into two groups and let each group have a go to see which team can get through the entire deck of cards the fastest. It's a lot of fun, and though you can play with younger students the older ones love this game just as much.

French months and days cut and paste activity - Les jours et les mois

These cut and paste worksheets will help your beginner French students learn the days of the week and the months. Great for core French and immersion schools!

How to use these worksheets:

One worksheet is included for the days of the week and the 12 months are on two sheets. Have your students cut off the bottom part of the worksheet where indicated with scissors. Then have them cut out the days and months. Now they're ready to paste the days and months in the right spot on the paper. They should put the days and months in chronological order.

Next to each numbered space there are lines where students write out the days and months to help with spelling. When they've finished they'll enjoy coloring the numbers and the little black and white image at the top of the page. This activity is included in my French months and days bundle. Boost your students' vocabulary surrounding Fall and Halloween with this Make-Your-Own Bingo activity suitable for all ages and all levels of French.

This activity is a great way to have your students create their own bingo cards and then to play with them. It comes with many versions depending on your Core French groups.

1. Two versions, one with instructions in English and one with instructions in French, which prompt your students to color, cut and paste to create their bingo card.
2. Two versions, one with instructions in English and one with instructions in French, which prompt your students to create their own illustrations, cut and paste to their bingo card.

This is a short story for beginning Spanish students to review days of the week, fruits as well as to learn new target vocabulary: hay una gata, se llama, tiene hambre, no le gusta, come, pero, va, porque and está enferma.

I teach this story using TPRS.

French Sentence Builder Worksheets For Beginners

These French sentence builder worksheets are great for helping your beginner students practice writing sentences using high frequency verbs, grammatical structures, and vocabulary words. Have a look at the preview to see exactly what each worksheet looks like.

Three worksheets are included, and each one provides at least four different sentence options, so everyone won't be writing exactly the same thing. Choosing sentence components makes this activity fun! As students they work through steps 1 - 3, they will check boxes for the components they want to include in their final three sentence paragraph which they will write at the bottom of the page.

Students will practice reading, 1 - 2- 3 - 4 step sentence building, and writing their French sentences while checking to make sure they have all of the necessary components.

Decorate your classroom or hallway for Valentine's Day with these colorful hearts in Spanish.

The bulletin board decoration set contains 24 color and b&w hearts to learn or review vocabulary about Valentine’s day.

Let your students color the hearts and then cut them in half with different patterns. Or they can just cut the color hearts as shown in the picture. Put all the half hearts on a bulletin board and let your students find the other halves.

The bulletin board that I put together with these hearts is on a hallway and it was really fun seeing students stop and look for the other half hearts.
