Special Person Craft for Mother's Day Father's Day and Grandparent's Day
By Jennifer Connett
This special person writing activity and craft allows students to create a meaningful gift for Mother's Day, Father's Day or Grandparent's Day. This simple craft and writing project is sure to delight the special person in the child's life.
How to Make:
To create the writing aspect of this activity, students will use the brainstorming ideas page to write down reasons they love their special person or when they do something the child loves. The student then gets to choose some of their best ideas to write on their heart craft. After writing their sentences, students can decorate their parent gift any way they choose. Students may choose to cut out their craft and glue it to some colored construction paper or card stock.
This packet includes several variations for different things a child may call their special person. There is also a blank craft for the student to write their special name.
The following are included in this packet:
This craft and writing activity are very easy to set up. Students simply need their craft template, a brainstorming ideas page, a writing utensil for the writing section, and crayons, markers, or colored pencils to decorate their craft. Scissors and glue are only needed if the child wishes to mount their craft to colored card stock or construction paper.
Charlotte's Web Novel Study - Lesson Plans Included
By A Teachers Sidekick
This novel study goes along with E. B. White’s Charlotte’s Web. You and your students will go chapter by chapter. Studying the characters, setting, events, point of view, adjectives, text structures (Cause/Effect, Compare/Contrast, and Problem/Solution), and more. It all ends with a watch along with the 2006 live-action movie and a project comparing the movie and the book.
Things that are included in this product are: Completed Lesson Plans for each chapter (also a blank one that is editable), Google Slides to go with each chapter, Doodle notes prompts and organizers for each chapter, End of Chapter activities, Movie Watch Along activity, Assessments, and a Rubric for the project.
At the beginning of each slideshow, there is a review of what the activity will be focused on for that chapter. You might need to teach your students that skill. But this product spiralizes. So you will cover skills, multiple times throughout the read.
Everything that is included is editable for you, so you can make it fit for your classroom! This could also be used as a digital activity (Slides and End activities) by using the Google Slides Add-ON Peardeck.
In the lesson plans, I did not include a standard because each state has its own standards.
Thank you for downloading my product! I hope you enjoy it. Please consider rating and reviewing this product and my store.
