These Egyptian Art Projects include 3 projects, 3 drawing guides, templates & tons of bonus material to bring ancient Egypt alive in your classroom.  The cross-curricular lesson was inspired by the 100 year anniversary of the discovery of King Tutankhamun’s tomb in November 1922.

This project is highly engaging, full of history & culture, and includes templates & drawing guides for each of the 3 projects plus a guide to use the pyramid project with kindergarten & 1st grade students.

An informational writing unit about the code of Hammurabi, which was created in Ancient Babylon, in the region of Ancient Mesopotamia. The unit focuses on key facts about the ancient king and his famous code of laws. The unit has been split into three separate lessons and is perfect for students in third grade and fourth grade. A crossword puzzle also comes with the resource to consolidate learning.

Included in this PDF printable resource:

• Three fact sheets which students need to cut out and sort into paragraphs
• Writing templates for the draft paragraphs
• A prompt sheet for students to write their introduction
• A template for students to write up their neat informational text
• A crossword puzzle and wordsearch to consolidate learning

The first lesson is interactive and involves them cutting out facts, and then sorting these facts into paragraphs. In the second lesson the children need to use these facts to write four paragraphs. Then, in the final lesson your class will need to use the format provided to write an introduction for the text before checking their draft paragraphs for mistakes and writing up their work into a neat copy on the template provided.

The first lesson involves students retrieving facts from informational texts about the Silk Road, the Terracotta Army and the Great Wall, and writing these on to a fact sheet. In the second lesson students need to use these facts to write three to four paragraphs about the individual developments. In the third lesson students need to use prompt sheets to write up an introduction and a conclusion. In the final lesson your class will need to check their draft paragraphs for mistakes before writing up their work on a neat copy using the template provided.
