This bundle includes an English and Spanish version of the Hanukkah Candle Book. These are perfect for your bilingual or dual-language classrooms. **Instructions: **Cut along the dotted lines for each candle. Have students color a candle whenever they practice a related value and staple the candle book beside each candle flame. Place these cards on the desks of students who are displaying wise choices, perfect work or students who need to stop what they are doing and make a wiser choice. Students can even give each other a card if they see a classmate doing some great work. Students can write about what it means to make wise choices and people in their lives who make wise choices. You could be creative with these cards and place them around square tissue boxes. If you see an entire table making wise choices, you could put the "Look whoo is making wise choices" box on the table for all children to see. The cards also come in black and white images for your convenience. The writing prompts come in primary and secondary lined paper for you to be able to differentiate to your needs. If a child is having a great day, there is also a checklist with good choices on it for them to take home and show off to their parents. I designed this 5-page activity for my students to engage with during the Fall or at the start of the year, focusing on the Social Studies Citizenship unit. Students will read various scenarios and determine whether each one exemplifies good citizenship. This activity is perfect for reinforcing rules and character traits at the beginning of the year. I intend to use it as an independent task after a few days of instruction on citizenship. It can also serve as a graded assessment, quiz, or a follow-up activity after a mini-lesson on rules or citizenship. What's Included

• 3 social problem-solving worksheets, each with 5 different Summer-related social situations
• both color and black and white versions

How it Works

1. Decide if you want students to work independently, with a partner, or in groups. Or have students work alone and then share answers in a class discussion.
2. Students read each situation, deciding whether the child in the scenario made a good or poor choice. This process encourages critical thinking and reflection on social behaviors.
3. For good choices, students explain why the decision was positive. For poor choices, students propose alternative ways to handle the situation, sparking meaningful discussions around social skills and empathy.

Sample Summer Scenarios

• Grayson's Pool Splash: Grayson does a cannonball into the pool right next to a small, nervous-looking child. A wave splashes over the child, and they start to cry.

• Kevin's Firework Reaction: Kevin’s little brother gets scared during the 4th of July fireworks. Kevin tells him to stop being such a baby.

• Levi's Park Assistance: Levi sees a small child crying at the park. They tell him that they can’t find their mom. Levi stops playing with his friends to help the child.
