You can make as many snowman as you want. Templates are included for different emotions to help students explore their self care when they feel a variety of feelings and reflecting on why they felt that way as well as what they needed to look after themselves and their emotions.

This creative activity includes:

- Learning all about “self-care”

- Instructions

- Completed example

- Blank templates (including individual templates with visual supports for emotions

- Snowman templates (to cut and glue individual body parts)

- Self-care ideas for brainstorming

What to do:

- Cut out the various snowman parts (head, body, accessories etc.)

- Glue snowman together.

- Complete the three piece sentence sequence – “I feel” “Because” “I need”.

This file folder is a great concrete way for students to explore buddy vs bullying qualities.

Students are encouraged to match and sort the various qualities and reflect on whether they would be qualities a buddy would demonstrate or a quality that a bully would demonstrate.

This SEL lesson is versatile and can be used as a quick reference guide, a sort and match activity lesson, within individual or small group sessions or even as a whole class approach.

Laminate and glue this resource to a file folder for repeated use and longevity.

You will need scissors, glue and a file folder. Alternatively, you can assemble this resource using hook and loop adhesive dots. Simply apply these to the page templates of Buddy and Bully qualities and use the sorting cards to encourage students to differentiate and reflect on the various qualities.

International Peace Day is an important day. By celebrating in September or any time of the year, we can bring students' awareness of the diversity of our world. Teachers can use International Peace Day as a meaningful lesson in their classrooms. It is an opportunity for students to learn about the importance of peace and how they can contribute to a better world. I designed this 5-page activity for my students to engage with during the Fall or at the start of the year, focusing on the Social Studies Citizenship unit. Students will read various scenarios and determine whether each one exemplifies good citizenship. This activity is perfect for reinforcing rules and character traits at the beginning of the year. I intend to use it as an independent task after a few days of instruction on citizenship. It can also serve as a graded assessment, quiz, or a follow-up activity after a mini-lesson on rules or citizenship. The "I Like Myself" activity pages are designed to accompany the heartwarming book by Karen Beaumont. These activities are an excellent resource for promoting positivity, self-confidence, and kindness in your classroom, making them the perfect back-to-school initiative.

We are the Gardeners by Joanna Gaines is a fun story about a family who works together to garden. This story teaches the reader about the importance of hard work and never giving up. Along with teaching great morals, this story also teaches about actual gardening (including what animals help, which animals are bad, and what plants need to grow).

Through reading and interacting with this story, students will learn the joys of hard work, never giving up, and planting a garden. This pack includes activity pages covering vocabulary, note taking, writing prompts, and quiz for younger and older students.
