3rd Grade Math Review Geometry: 1 page practice for Polygons & Quadrilaterals
By E•Fish•ient Teaching
These one page math practices are perfect for your 3rd grade math unit. Each page/review focuses on one of the standards of the Geometry strand (3.G). Each math review also comes with a key for easy grading. Students will show their understanding of 3rd grade level geometry. Some of the standards they will practice are identifying different quadrilaterals & polygons and partitioning shapes into equal parts.
These pages can be used at the beginning of the unit to see what students already know, or at the end of the unit to see what the students have understood. These practice pages are ready to use, all you need to do is print. There are 4 total pages included.
What is included:
I personally used these practice pages at the end of the year to review all the standards. Then I was able to see where my students had holes and I was able to reteach those areas.

These clip cards are a great way to test students’ recognition of basic 2D and 3D shapes. The given possible answers have been carefully chosen to allow teachers to spot any misconceptions students may have about the names and spellings of shapes. The idea of this activity is that students clip a clothespin, peg or a paperclip to what they think the correct name or spelling of the shape is. This activity works equally well when the cards are laminated. Students simply circle the correct answer using a dry erase marker. Alternatively, you can print these on paper, hand out to your class at the end of the lesson, so they can put their names on and circle the correct answer, serving as a great nishing activity to a lesson. These cards are in colour, but print equally well in grey scale for cost savings. We have included two versions of this activity, one with shapes lled in (and in the case of the 3D shapes, designed as a solid shape) and a second with just the shapes outline, for if you are worried about ink usage (and for the 3D shapes, these are wireframes). A great tool for multiple choice in the classroom without needing a computer.

Geometry - Finding Lines of Symmetry Task Cards
By Sassycat Corner
Working on Geometry skills? Are your students working on finding lines of symmetry? Use these 32 task cards and the two corresponding practice pages to provide extra practice with recognizing when an object has symmetry. Each card provides an image and students answer yes or no as to whether or not it has symmetry. By laminating the cards, you can up the level from beginner to intermediate by also having students draw in the lines of symmetry with a dry erase marker. Also included are 2 bonus practice sheets, a blank answer page, and answer keys. Use these task cards for a variety of activities - whole group games such as Scoot or Jeopardy; small group work, independent seat work, workstations or centers, or for test review. Mine love to do "math around the room". I tape the cards up around the room and allow them time to "find" the cards and solve them as they move around.
