This bundle has seven online activities that would span nineteen lessons about basketball superstars Michael Jordan, LeBron James and Steph Curry. The resources are perfect for Distance Learning in third grade or fourth grade, and are ideal for students learning about U.S. History, famous sport stars or for Black History Month.

Firstly, there are three Close Reading Activities, or informational texts, with comprehension and grammar questions followed by extension tasks about LeBron James, Michael Jordan and Steph Curry. The resources are Google Forms activities and are ideal for distance learning.

Secondly, there are three Biography Writing Units about the same players. The units have been split into four separate lessons each. The Google Slides activities are ideal for distance learning. In each unit the first lesson is interactive and involves students reading facts, and then sorting and ordering these facts into paragraphs. In the second lesson the children need to use these facts to type four paragraphs. Then, in the third lesson they need to choose the most important facts and include these in an introduction; after this they need to answer several questions before typing up their conclusion. In the final lesson your class will need to check their draft paragraphs before typing up their work on to the template provided.

Finally, there is a Discussion Based Writing Unit about who is the greatest modern-day basketball player. The first lesson involves students retrieving facts from informational texts about Michael Jordan, LeBron James or Stephen Curry, and typing these on to an included fact sheet. In the second lesson students need to use these facts to write three to four paragraphs about the individual players. In the third lesson students need to use prompt sheets to write up an introduction and a conclusion. In the final lesson students need to check their draft paragraphs for mistakes before typing up their work using the template provided.

The first lesson involves students retrieving facts from informational texts about the famous figures, and typing these on to an included fact sheet. In the second lesson students need to use these facts to write three to four paragraphs about the individual figures. In the third lesson students need to use prompt sheets to write up an introduction and a conclusion. In the final lesson students need to check their draft paragraphs for mistakes before typing up their work using the template provided.

This resource is a third grade or fourth grade discussion based writing unit discussing who is the greatest soccer player of all time: Lionel Messi, Pele or Diego Maradona. The unit has been split into four separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each. The Google Slides activity is ideal for distance learning and perfect for students learning about famous sport stars or World History.

The first lesson involves students retrieving facts from informational texts about Messi, Pele and Maradona, and typing these on to an included fact sheet. In the second lesson students need to use these facts to write three to four paragraphs about the individual players. In the third lesson students need to use prompt sheets to write up an introduction and a conclusion. In the final lesson students need to check their draft paragraphs for mistakes before typing up their work using the template provided.

A Google Slides biography writing unit about the famous American tennis player, Serena Williams. The unit is ideal for both in-class and distance learning in third grade and fourth grade. The unit has been split into four separate lessons. The Google Slides activity is ideal for students learning about U.S. History, the Olympics or for Black History Month.
