Free 3rd Grade Social Emotional Learning Activities (by date, oldest first)

Are you looking for an easy way to improve student behaviors? This is a fun, easy, print and go activity.

I use the secret missions with my students. Simply print the packet, cut out, and post the missions in your room (be sure to cover each mission with a "secret mission" card".

Then the magic begins. Each morning during your morning meeting time chose a kiddo to uncover a mission. Discuss the mission, the importance of it, what it looks like. I generally have a secret task force who also watches for the behaviors. Then when your children are "caught" they earn a party point/tally/ball (whatever reinforcer you use) for your class. Currently my kids are working to earn hot chocolate with toppings.

"Caught Ya Being Respectful" is a fun and engaging activity that not only gets students talking about being respectful and what that looks like, but it also encourages them to make connections of people (that they know and often admire!) that are showing respect around them as well! The Impact of our Words (High School)

Order up! This adorable activity puts a focus on gratitude and thankfulness - perfect for the fall season! "Spice" it up and instruct students to decorate their "personalized order" anyway that they'd like. You could do so much with this activity - incorporate life skills by asking students to order their own drink, intertwine creativity by asking them to incorporate their own special ingredients into their drink, and then, of course, "fill it up" with all of the things that they are grateful and thankful for! So sweet and fun! This would also make a cute bulletin board as well.

Bring having a growth mindset and positive perspective to life with this activity! It is fun for the whole class and they get a great reminder to take with them! This activity comes set with everything you need to discuss and demonstrate having a growth mindset, perspective taking, and holding a positive point of view. It also pairs nicely with the short story (Rosie's Glasses), but can be used as a stand alone activity as well!

Talk about "which view would you choose" and then have students color away! Depending on the amount of time you have, have students cut out their glasses and glue the rectangles together, or use it as a fun take home follow up activity!

If you are looking for a fun, engaging, and interactive activity for your elementary students - this is for you!! This activity gets students working together, up and moving around, while they also practice perseverance, self-control, patience, and so much more!
