How It Works:

1. Choose a Subject: Students select an individual to research. This could be anyone from historical figures, scientists, artists, to contemporary leaders or influencers. Ruth Bader Ginsburg is pre-filled in on version of this template.
2. Fill in the Blanks: The template guides students through the research process. They'll fill in key sections, providing biographical information, accomplishments, and the impact of the chosen individual.
3. Present to the Class: The completed reports become the basis for engaging class presentations. This step encourages students to express themselves confidently and articulately.

This product includes a research report template. Students will answer the following questions: name of president, when the president was born, when the president died, how many years in office the president was, how many terms the president served, who the vice president was at the time the president was in office, two challenges the president faced, two accomplishments the president achieved, and three interesting facts that were learned. There is a section for students to print out a picture or draw a picture of the president. At the end of the template, there is a section for resources as well.

There is an example provided at the end of the template as well that includes information about George Washington.

The students finished product could be made into a vertical poster (as seen in the thumbnail photo) and glue the black sections to the back of each page or cut the templates out and create a booklet.

A biography writing unit about the life of the famous American civil rights activist, Rosa Parks. The NO PREP unit has been split into four separate lessons and is perfect for students in third grade or fourth grade. Students will learn about the famous figure whilst working on their comprehension skills and developing their creative writing.

The first lesson is interactive and involves students cutting out facts, and then sorting these facts into paragraphs. In the second lesson the students need to use these facts to write four paragraphs. Then, in the third lesson children need to choose the most important facts and include these in an introduction; after this they need to answer several questions on a prompt sheet before writing up their conclusion. In the final lesson students need to check their draft paragraphs for mistakes before writing up their work on to a neat copy on the template provided.
