Some students on my caseload are very quiet; either because they are shy, afraid, or simply don’t know what to share. Oftentimes, it can be difficult for them to open up so I created a worksheet that allows them to decide what they feel comfortable talking about. 

Because the worksheet can also serve as a coloring page, most students tend to feel comfortable in deciding their topic of conversation. Students simply color in the heart with the subject they’d like to address. 

This worksheet works well for 1:1 counseling sessions or for teachers who notice a student having a hard time. Simply pull them to the side, or place the worksheet on their desk and have them bring it to you when they are ready.

Knowing what signs indicate sensory needs is imperative for adults working with students with autism or sensory processing disorders. This poster gives indicators of ONE type of sensory need 'vestibular'. It also pairs signs that a student may be over or underresponsive to vestibular sensory and activities to help the student self-regulate under either circumstance. Are you looking for an easy way to improve student behaviors? This is a fun, easy, print and go activity.

I use the secret missions with my students. Simply print the packet, cut out, and post the missions in your room (be sure to cover each mission with a "secret mission" card".

Then the magic begins. Each morning during your morning meeting time chose a kiddo to uncover a mission. Discuss the mission, the importance of it, what it looks like. I generally have a secret task force who also watches for the behaviors. Then when your children are "caught" they earn a party point/tally/ball (whatever reinforcer you use) for your class. Currently my kids are working to earn hot chocolate with toppings.
