This is a collection of sight word games that I created for Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade. Each game, you are catching some sort of animal with the sight words written on them.

**These activities will take some prep. Other materials you will need will be popsicle sticks, glue/tape, and scissors**

Between 1 to 4 students can play this game. To play the game, you will need to lay out the animals with the words facing up. Have students sit or stand beside each other with the nets in their hands, holding them all in the same position (so no one tries to cheat). Then call out a word. Students will race to find and catch the animals with the word on it first. Whichever student catches the animal first, they take that animal and add it to their pile. Once all the animals are caught, have students count up how many they have. Whoever has the most wins.

This high-quality bingo game offers a fun, active way to foster spelling, vocabulary, and listening skills.

Comes with:

• 60 different playing boards

• 50 calling cards with illustrations, vocabulary words, and the letter of the column they are in

• Quick Look Key – laminate and mark off to keep track of what cards were called. Helps to quickly verify winners.

How it works:

The caller shuffles the calling cards to mix them up, then reads the top calling card. It has 2 parts:

A. A spelling tip to help kids locate the column to look in. For example: "This word starts with the letter 'S'." This guides the player to look in the "S" column.

B. The definition or clue, required to find the picture and its name (the vocabulary).

When a player has covered 5 illustrations in a row horizontally, vertically or on a diagonal, they call out "Bingo!" and the caller checks their board.

This is a great game for a whole-class activity, or to put in a classroom center for kids to work on in small groups.

We also offer REGULAR-SIZE HALLOWEEN BINGO for smaller groups. Same as above, but comes with 30 different playing boards.

• Calling cards (print and cut out)
• Class set of Bingo sheets (21 different cards)

How To Play:

Each player receives a Bingo sheet and handful of markers. The caller draws a card and says the vowel pair word. The players mark the word called on their sheets- if they have it. When a player marks four words in a row either across, down, or diagonal, they shout, "Bingo!"
