4th Grade Grammar Assessment (by date, oldest first)

This little package includes a student workbook, a review page and a summative test. The student booklet is 10 pages and includes suffixes s, es, ing and ed. Initial pages include a "rule" at the top of the page to help students remember when completing their work independently. There is one review page and one test page included in this package. This package meets Common Core: CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RF.3.3 This package is a great review for students going into grade 4. I tried grammar workbooks for years, but my students hardly retained anything. This fun digital game is designed to be a no prep review for the parts of speech. It utilizes the chat feature on things like Zoom, but you can adjust the rules to suit your classroom needs. This product is not to be used on Outschool or similar teaching platforms, but may be used for your personal classroom in an online format. After each slide, there is an answer key slide to help you and the students.

In this product, different types of nouns are reviewed. After each type of noun is reviewed, students will change the given noun from singular to plural, come up with more nouns needed to complete the chart or use the specific noun in a sentence.

What is reviewed:

• singular and plural nouns and how they differ
• nouns ending in consonant + O, add S
• nouns ending in vowel + O, add s
• nouns ending in y - adding s to plural nouns and changing the y to I and adding "ies" on the end

• nouns ending in f and fe
• singular possessive nouns
• plural possessive nouns
• irregular singular nouns and plural nouns that do not make any changes
• irregular plural nouns where you don't add s or es to the end
