Feeling Insecure Social Story and Role-Playing Scenarios

This product includes 1 social story that focuses on feeling insecure. Students will learn the meaning for the words insecure, secure, confident, what you may do/feel when you feel secure, what can feeling insecure do, how you feel when you have positive self-esteem -feeling secure and negative self-esteem - feelings insecure, and how you feel when you feel secure.
In the social story that is included in this product that relates with feeling insecure, students will learn how feeling insecure can impact relationships, communication, mood, self-esteem, etc. and how to be more secure in challenging situations.
The social story include comprehension questions throughout. Some of the questions require students to put their feet in the shoes of the characters. At the end of this product, there are 4 role-playing scenario cards that will require students to discuss how the character was feeling insecure, what each character feels insecure about, what the character can do to feel better about the given situation, what the student would do if they were in that situation, etc.

Each page has a short growth mindset phrase for your PreK, Kindergarten or First/Second Year students that help build their self-esteem, confidence and resilience. This pack has sea themed coloring in pictures that are absolutely adorable and your students will love. By providing children with positive affirmations, we can help them to develop a positive self-image, increase their self-worth, and instil in them the belief that they are capable and deserving of happiness, success and love. Get your students to read the sentence, look in the mirror and repeat the sentence again and then color in the 'Under the Sea' themed Growth Mindset worksheet.
There are many other positive reinforcement games that teachers can play with students. Here are a few ideas you can play and then use my Growth Mindset - Positive Affirmations - Coloring in Worksheet as consolidation:
- Catch the Compliment: In this game, students write compliments about each other on small pieces of paper. The teacher collects the compliments and reads them aloud. The student who is being complimented gets to catch a small toy or ball.
- High Five Challenge: This game challenges students to reach a certain goal, such as completing a certain number of math problems. When they achieve the goal, they get a high five from the teacher or another student.
- Treasure Box: Create a treasure box filled with small toys, stickers, and other fun items. When students do something positive, they get to choose a prize from the treasure box.
- Class Compliments: Set a goal for the class, such as being respectful to each other or completing assignments on time. When the class achieves the goal, they get a compliment from the teacher and a reward, such as extra recess time.
- Team Points: Divide the class into teams and award points for positive behavior. The team with the most points at the end of the week gets a reward, such as a pizza party or movie day.

In the social story that is included in this product, students will learn possible ways we can become annoyed, what we can do to feel better when we are annoyed, what we can do the next time we feel annoyed, and reflect on past situations when we felt annoyed.
The social story includes comprehension questions about feeling annoyed, why the characters become annoyed, reflecting on how we respond to situations that cause us to become annoyed, and how to handle current and future situations when we are feeling annoyed. Some of the questions require students to put their feet in the shoes of the characters. Feeling Misunderstood Social Story and Role-Playing Scenarios

This product includes 1 social story that focuses on being misunderstood. Vocabulary that is reviewed and discussed in depth include misunderstood, communication, judge, feeling insecure, anxiety, depression, positive self-esteem, and negative self-esteem.
Students will learn about feeling misunderstood, how someone could feel misunderstood, what can cause someone to feel misunderstood, how someone feels when they have positive self-esteem, how someone feels when they have negative self-esteem, how to build self esteem, and if someone feels misunderstood how they would feel.
One social story that focuses on feeling misunderstood is included in this product. The social story includes comprehension questions throughout. Some of the questions require students to put their feet in the shoes of the characters. This product shares with students the importance of communicating how one feels when they feel misunderstood, listening to others, understanding others point of view or feelings, and discussing interests that are different amongst friends/family members.
At the end of the product, you will find 4 role-playing cards that relate with feeling misunderstood. Students can role-play each situation and talk about how they would feel if they were in the situation.

Students will learn the meaning for the word disgusted, what can make someone feel disgusted - someone's actions, smelling something awful, tasting something that is disgusting, etc., what one should do if they feel disgusted, and how to handle the feeling of disgust politely vs. impolitely.
In the social story that is included in this product that relates with feeling disgusted, students will learn how to express their feelings or concerns in a way that is respectful and honest, as opposed to being rude or hurtful, thinking of others feelings before making comments, what can be said instead of saying something such as , "That's disgusting!" or "That's gross!"
The social story include comprehension questions throughout. Some of the questions require students to put their feet in the shoes of the characters. This Managing Worry and Anxiety Activity is a quick-prep, easy way to get students thinking about their circle of control and how they can better manage their emotions. This activity outlines ways to deal with anxiety and provides coping strategies for worry and anxiety. This is the perfect resource for elementary students struggling with anxiety or managing excessive worry.
Students explore what worry means, their type of worry, how worry makes them feel, ways to take control of their worry, ways to manage worry, and what strategies to control their worry may work best for them. In the end, students will have a better understanding of their circle of control and how to manage their big emotions.

Showing Forgiveness Social Story and Role-Playing Scenarios

This product includes 1 social story that focuses on showing forgiveness. Students will learn the meaning for the words forgive, apology, mistake, on purpose, compassion, and empathy.
In the social story that is included in this product, it relates with showing forgiveness, how you feel when you forgive others, steps that can be followed to forgive others. Students will also learn about disappointment, misunderstanding your friends and forgiving them, what to do say/do when friends make mistakes an the importance of forgiveness in those situations.
The social story include comprehension questions throughout. Some of the questions require students to put their feet in the shoes of the characters. At the end of this product, there are 4 role-playing scenario cards that will require students to discuss how the character should show forgiveness, what each character feels in each situation, what the character can do to feel better about the given situation, what the student would do if they were in that situation, etc.
