After reading orwatching Enemy Pie, students will create their own FRIENDSHIP pie by listing the "ingredients" that make a good friend.

This resource will help your students/children learn their alphabet in cursive. This resource is an EDITABLE template that includes:

1. Complete cursive alphabet

2. Each letter of the alphabet with two practice sheets for each letter

3. 81 pages total in PPTX format and can be downloaded into Google Slides.

4. If you do not like the cursive font used, this resource is completely editable OR you can email me at bigeasyhomeschoolingmom@gmail.com with a font you would like to use and I will be happy to edit this resource with the font of your choice. Please note that some fonts may not transfer correctly from Google Slides to PowerPoint and may not be aligned when you download. This is completely normal.

Do your students need some additional supports with expanding their thoughts when they are writing a paragraph? My students were having difficulty with developing ideas that were on topic & adding details to their writing. So, I made this as a practice to expanding their thoughts. (*this activity builds on my other writing packet which will be linked below)

What is included?

• While this is posted as a PDF, the first 11 pages were made as a way to begin discussions with your students. While you can use as posters or visual supports, I merely projected the pages onto my white board and we discussed the importance of our writings.
• 2 pages of matching - Each page has simple sentences students can read. They will draw lines from one side to the other to select the sentences that support one another.
• 2 pages of multiple choice - A sentence is provided, and students will select the sentence that supports it best from a choice of 4.
• Paragraph orders - 4 cut and paste pages. Students will read the sentences, cut them out, and place them in the correct order.
• Write a paragraph - Use the page of writing prompts to write a paragraph that has additional supporting details.
• Templates - Depending on the level of support your student needs I have included 3 different templates. The first is the hamburger, however adapted to support students in providing supporting details. The other templates are unlined/lined boxes.

This is a movie watch along to go with Pixar's Wall-E! While watching the movie, students will focus on the sequence of events throughout the movie. They will take doodle notes of the major events in the beginning, middle, and end. Then they will describe each of the events in writing. Finally, they will put 5 major events into chronological order, (an event bank is provided).

**Doodle notes are notes that students take where they doodle down the content and ideas instead of only writing like traditional notes***

1. Movie Watch Along - Focused on Characters - During/After watching the movie, students will describe some characters using adjectives and write about how the Once-Ler’s character changes from the beginning to the end

2. Characters Crossword Puzzle - Students will complete a crossword puzzle that is focused on characters (mainly from the book but can be done with the movie too)

3. Character Word Search - Basic word search to go along with the Lorax Movie and its characters

4. A Maze - A simple maze for students to complete of the Lorax trying to get ot the Truffula Trees

5. Describe the Lorax with Adjectives - Students will draw the Lorax and then give 4 adjectives to describe their drawing of the Lorax

This is a simple first week of school activity to get to know your students and for your students to get to know each other! With social media being such a large part of students' lives, this blank Instagram post will help get your students engaged. I have included a blank post with lines for students to write on, and also some ideas of things that you can have students place in the post.
