This is a set of 12 color mini-posters in Spanish that you can use to decorate your classroom or bulletin board in a fun, colorful, and educational manner. The mini-posters are 2.5" wide and 10" long and come with a title card and in two different versions (one with reflection and one without). The colors represented are: red orange yellow green blue purple pink black gray white brown (both marrón and café are included)

French Freebie: Activity to get your students speaking

This resource is very similar to another one (also free) in which you'll have students talking about the house, hotel, vacation, etc. of their worst nightmares. Students will talk all about the house, etc. of their dreams in this one. I like to use these resources one after the other while the content is still fresh, but the vocabulary will change dramatically when students shift from what they would love to what would give them nightmares!

This is a no prep, one page activity for intermediate to advanced level students, and the content is perfectly suitable both for primary (French immersion) and secondary curriculums. There are fifteen questions that will have them talking about, for example, the house of their dreams. This is meant to be a paired or small group activity, but it is NOT meant to just have students take turns describing what they would love. The idea is to imagine that everyone in the group is going to live in the house together. There will probably be some things that everyone agrees on, and there will certainly be things they will disagree on. When I have my students do this activity, it's always fun to watch them debate what is and what is not important. In the end, they can agree to disagree! My students really have a good time with this activity, and I love seeing the imagination that they have!

Get your students more motivated in class with puntos. Using these tickets with “puntos” is a great classroom management system when you want your class follow directions. I give “puntos” to my classes when students participate, use their Spanish in full sentences or when transitions are good, taking advantage of every minute that we have. At the end of each day or week we count how many points we have and if we have certain amount, we can celebrate with a “fiesta”, movie or games.

Teach 36 German animal similes with these low prep comparison puzzles and worksheets. A great way to introduce figurative language to your students.

Figurative language covered:

♠ 24 Adjectiv WIE Substantiv similes

♠ 12 Verb WIE Substantiv similes

Contains:

♣ 6 trimino (triomino) puzzles (3 in B&W and 3 in colour)

♣ 3 recording sheets

♣ 3 worksheets

♣ keys

What is trimino (triomino) puzzle and how to use it:

• similar to domino BUT trimino cards have a triangular shape
• INSTRUCTIONS:
• Simply cut up the puzzle pieces and let your pupils put them back together. The resultant shape is that of a star.
• Students need to match the similes with the correct picture.
• You can print out a few puzzles and turn it into a competition. Whoever resolves the puzzle first, wins. It can be also played in teams.
• I highly recommend printing the black & white trimino puzzles on different coloured papers. You won't get them accidentally mixed-up.

Materials in this product go nicely together and complement each other:

◘ trimino puzzles are a great introduction into new vocabulary

◘ recording sheets are perfect for keeping track of new vocabulary, students practice writing

◘ worksheets focus on meaning, students get a taste of how similes are used in real life situations

They can also be used separately. My fast finishers LOVE trimino puzzles. Triminoes are great for centres too.

Mis cosas favoritas is a great activity that can be used as a back to school activity or "guess who game" to get to know your students even more.

Students can write or draw their favorite color, animal, food and activity. The teacher or one student present student's favorite things and the rest of the class will try to guess who the student is. My students loved this game!!!
