With this intrinsically engaging activity, each student has the chance to tap into their creativity while applying knowledge of the 7 steps of Freytag's Pyramid. It is a great activity to introduce or reinforce the plot diagram and is perfect for getting students in the Christmas spirit. Since it runs itself, the lesson is also great for substitute plans or on those days when you need a quick plan to get you through the day. Play French scattergories when you need quick, no prep activities to play with your class while they practice their French vocabulary, oral, and written skills. This bundle of categories games includes many engaging activities with different French vocabulary themes which work well as ice-breakers. Take a look at the preview for more details about these games.

The categories vary from: "le titre d'un livre" to "le nom d'une ville ou pays". This game is can be adapted for a variety of grades depending on the number of games you play as well as the time allotted for each game.

Expect your students to:

• be competitive as they are challenged to make their lists
• want to play again and again
• practice several skills at once
• enjoy stretching their thinking
• practice brainstorming and fluency
• play these games with multiple age groups and abilities

Classroom scattergories games are great icebreakers for the beginning of the year, a fun game for the end of the year, or perfect to play throughout the year!

Play as a full class with the students playing individually or in pairs or teams to complete each round. The game can be made as short or long as you want it, so it's also a fun time filler that keeps students thinking.

Students or teams write in answers for each category on the list. When the timer’s up, stop writing and share answers for scoring.
