Secondly, there are four Biography Writing Units. These units focus on:

These units have each been split into four separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each. The Google Slides activities are ideal for distance learning. The first lessons are interactive and involve students reading facts, and then sorting and ordering these facts into paragraphs. In the second lesson the children need to use these facts to type four paragraphs. Then, in the third lesson they need to choose the most important facts and include these in an introduction; after this they need to answer several questions before typing up their conclusion. In the final lesson your class will need to check their draft paragraphs before typing up their work on to the template provided.

Finally there is a discussion based text writing unit that allows the children to research and discuss who was the most influential scientist. The unit has four complete lessons and comes with a PDF and Google Slides version.

Then, there are four biography writing units about Albert Einstein, Marie Curie, Charles Darwin and Isaac Newton. The units have been split into four separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each.

Don’t you want your students to have the opportunity to see baby chickens and ducks hatch? It is hard to incubate eggs in the classroom. It is messy, it can be distracting for the kids, and once the birds hatch you have to figure out what to do with them! This resource allows your students to see every step of the incubation process without all the hassle. A December Google Forms reading comprehension bundle with ten individual activities about key events in December or famous figures that were either born or died in the month. The activities, which come in PDF format too, have an informational text with comprehension and grammar questions followed by an extension task, are about the following people or topics:

• Rosa Parks, who was arrested on the 1st December 1955 for refusing to give up her seat on a segregated bus; the event gave birth to the U.S. Civil Rights Movement.
• The Japanese attack on the U.S. naval base, Pearl Harbor, which took place on the 7th December 1941 and brought America into World War II.
• George Washington, the first American president who died at the age of sixty-seven on the 14th December 1799.
• The Boston Tea Party, which happened on the 16th December 1773 when the Sons of Liberty group destroyed a shipment of tea; this eventually led to the start of the American Revolutionary War.
• The first powered flight by the famous Wright Brothers, which took place on the 17th December 1903.
• Vincent van Gogh, the famous Dutch artist, who cut off his left year whilst in a rage on the 23rd December 1888.
• Santa Claus, who does his yearly present deliveries all around the world on the 24th December.

• Isaac Newton, the famous English scientist, who was born on the 25th December 1642.
• The Battle of Trenton, which took place during the American Revolutionary War on the 25th December 1776.
