▶️ This is an comprehensive Picture Inference Lesson PACKET that includes at least eight activities where students can practice the skill of social inferencing using pictures that are relevant to this day in age. There are a total of 10 pictures that students will use to make inferences. Students have multiple opportunities to observe a social situation and combine picture clues and their background knowledge to figure out what is happening. Students can make inferences about how the people in the pictures are feeling, what they are doing, what they may be thinking, and what situation they may be in.

This resource includes four rubrics that capture students’ level of mastery when using evidence. These rubrics evaluate students’ abilities to support their ideas, inferences, claims, and/or responses with relevant text evidence. It also evaluates the strength and thoroughness of their explanations/analysis of evidence.

All 8 Rubric pages are EDITABLE for you to adjust and modify to meet your needs!

The four rubrics come in two different variations (totaling 8 rubrics):
