Writing a research report can be a fun and interesting project for your students. This provides them with the opportunity to learn about a topic that interests them and share it with their peers! This packet includes information to share with your students about what a research report is, why do we write a research report, possible topics to write a research report on, what do we share in a research report, and rules to follow when writing a research report. A list of ideas as to where to look for information and tips about what you can find from these sources is also included in this product. This product includes an example of a weak and strong opening paragraph, a list of what makes a great research report, and a guided research report writing structure is also included. An example of three possible writing topics, a completed KWL chart, and a brainstorming chart that will serve as a guide when writing the rough draft of the research report is included in the student packet. An example of a rough draft on rain forests is also provided to help support students and serve as a guide to help them when writing their own rough draft.
