Resource List
This resource is a part of my 7th grade skills based curriculum that I am building, this is a work in progress and I will be focusing on 7th grade TEKS this year with hopes to expand to 6th and 8th grade. While I am based in Texas and most of the resources will be aligned with the TEKS, everything I am creating is skill based meaning they are not specific to Texas and can be used by anyone! Take a look through the Resource List linked below to see all that is available, it is a live document and will be updated as I go.

Solving Linear Equations with Variables on Both Sides | Algebra Activity
By Matemaths
Are you looking for new activities to solve equations with variables on both sides? This Scoot game is a new way to engage your students with task cards. Students will solve multi-step equations with variables on both sides.
Includes use of the distributive property, combining like terms, and integers.
This product includes:
SCOOT:
Put a question card on each desk.
Give each student an answer sheet and a pencil.
Have each student answer the question card on their desk and record their answer on their answer sheet. Make sure to remind them to answer the correct number.
Give students x (I gave my students 2 minutes, but it’s up to you) minutes to answer each question. Then say “SCOOT”.
When you say “scoot”, students will quickly stand up, leave their card at their desk and move to the next desk with the next number. They will then start working immediately on the next question.
When all students are finished, check the answers as a group.
Other ideas for using task cards in the classroom:
EXIT SLIP:
Have a student choose a card and let him solve the equation before leaving class.
Copy onto colored card stock. Laminate them and use them year after year.
Due to the Terms of Use of the font/clip artists and stock photo websites that I have purchased from, this product is not editable. Thank you for understanding.

Solving Two-Step Equations Differentiated Review Activity | Grade 7 Math
By EZMath
Level Ups are a fun way to challenge your students to complete various levels of mastery on working with solving two-step equations. Aligned to the common core standards, this Level Ups activity provides 5 levels of challenge for your students to complete, starting with pre-requisite skills involving order of operations, operations with integers, and operations with fractions (rational numbers).
Students start at level zero and work their way up to level 4, giving them accurate feedback on what they have mastered, and what they still need to work on. This lesson works as a great way to review solving two-step equations after teaching the concepts, or as preparation for an upcoming assessment.
