By Amanda G
This package provides you with a total of 56 different questions you can ask your students in order to help you better understand their thought processes in mathematics. The first list is comprised of 21 general questions that could be used in other subject areas. The second list contains 35 subject specific questions related to the mathematical processes. This is a quick and easy list to carry around with you as you are taking a look at the work your students are doing.
By Amanda G
Questions to dig deeper and better understand your students mathematical thinking. Questions focus on the 8 mathematical processes: Problem Solving Reasoning and Proving Reflecting Selecting Tools Selecting Computational Strategies Representing Connecting Communicating A few of the ways these cards may be used: * small group work, give one to each student based on observations/needs * small group work, whole group focus * whole group exit ticket question * student feedback - this is what I don't understand * wander and drop - give a specific question based on the observations. BONUS PAGE: General questions to assess student thinking in math. Please don't forget to take a look at the other items I have available in my store! FRENCH MATHS 5-6 | RÉVISION | ANNÉE COMPLÈTE | CHEAT SHEET | VISUAL AIDE

Math- Tac- Toe Quadratic Factoring: 3 levels a=1, a is prime, a can be composite
By Howlin' Husky Math Games
Check out the free DEMO before you buy!
If you are interested in more math games, like this one, for students, follow me! Please leave a comment! Whether it's good or bad, I appreciate it!
It's Tic-Tac-Toe... but with math!
Students can practice factoring quadratics in this player vs player game.
Problems randomly generated are a FACTORABLE quadratic every time. Includes possible negative a's, b = 0, c = 0. It also includes problems where students may have to factor out a GCF first. No solutions need Quadratic Formula to find. No two sheets will be the same because the problems are completely randomly generated within the constraints.
Features:
* Runs anywhere Google Sheets can run.
*Three levels. a = 1, a is prime, a can be composite
* Computer generates unlimited problems, runs the game, and knows when students are right or wrong.
* Students are given 10 questions. The first to answer all 10 correct, picks the square.
* Computer checks the answers and knows when someone wins!
* Students can use their own avatars or take from 7 supplied.
In this version, answers must be completely factored and in an acceptable format for the computer to mark it correct. This means negative leading coefficients and GCFs MUST be factored and placed in front. Each factor MUST have parentheses around them, even they are a monomial (The order of these factors don't matter). There MUST be no spaces in your answer.
NOTE: This sheet contains a script that needs your okay to run. A warning message will pop-up. The script is written in Google App Script and is safe. The script modifies only its own sheets and nothing else. You can view the script through the Extensions-> App Script

I believe that students need to address missed questions on a test rather than just accept the grade and move on to the next topic. This test correction sheet does just that. They have to rework the problem (using their notes) and explain what they did wrong. I love this page!!

Rational Numbers on Number Lines Thin Slicing
By MsVisualizer
These number line problems range from extremely accessible to very challenging for even my highest students. They gradually take students through different rational number concepts and strategies while working on a number line. This really helped my 6th graders better understand the magnitude of fractions, mixed numbers and decimals and how to place numbers on the positive and negative side of the number line. It promoted great discussions in the student groups.
It includes 4 pages of student worksheets or thin slicing problems with an answer key.

All four operations included along with a few fractions, decimals, negatives, and problems requiring the distributive property! The first problem is completed as an example, making this perfect for stations or sub plans!
Writing Linear Equations from Tables and Graphs - 6th Grade

Students to write additive and multiplicative equations from tables and graphs at a 6th grade level with 9 pages (18 problems. Most of the problems are of the form y=kx or y=x+b with a few challenging questions at the end with 2 steps in the form y=mx+b.
This product contains 9 pages (18 problems)
The problems start easier and get progressively more difficult, including fractional slopes and y intercepts with decimals. Full Answer Key Included.
The google doc is pictures of each problem (consisting of a table, graph, fill in the blank description, and equation) so you can delete or add an entire problem but you can't edit each one individually.
