Approximate Lesson Duration:

• An Overview of Ancient Mesopotamia

• Hammurabi's Code
• Advancements of Mesopotamia

These activities require NO PREP and have a body of text that students need to read through thoroughly; then they can use the text to find the comprehension and grammar answers. All texts then have an extension activity, a crossword and a wordsearch for those fast finishers. Answers, for teacher use, are on the final page of each document.

Then, there is a biography writing unit about Sargon of Akkad. The unit has been split into four separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each.

Finally, there is three informational writing unit about Ancient Mesopotamia, the Epic of Gilgamesh and Hammurabi's Code. The unit has again been split into three or four separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each.

Nearly all answers are not automatically generated, but only require a small amount of work to assign points. A December Google Forms reading comprehension bundle with ten individual activities about key events in December or famous figures that were either born or died in the month. The activities, which come in PDF format too, have an informational text with comprehension and grammar questions followed by an extension task, are about the following people or topics:

The digital resources would span fourteen lessons. These resources are perfect for Distance Learning in 5th grade or 6th grade, and are ideal for students learning about World History, or some of his famous plays.
