This fun geography skill activity is great for your students on Valentine's Day! We all know how students get excited on Valentine's Day! Through this activity, not only will they have fun working together or individually to solve the puzzle, but they will also have the opportunity to practice reading absolute location —latitude and longitude — coordinate grid system. Each moment is a teaching moment, and this will allow reinforcement of their map reading skills. They will use the absolute locations that are provided on the key and identify the points on the coordinate grid, drawing one line from one point to another. End the end, they have a photo to color and decorate!

Play French scattergories when you need quick, no prep activities to play with your class while they practice their French Valentine's Day / La Saint Valentin vocabulary, oral, and written skills. These categories games includes many activities with a French Valentine's Day vocabulary theme which work well as ice-breakers.

⭐ Valentine's Day Scattergories Game

Players attempt to create answers for each of the four categories on their game. This should be a fast moving game and there are only spaces for six words per category. The MAXIMUM they can write is six words so they have to choose them wisely. Students can be creative and flexible with their answers, but other players can challenge them!

12 games are included with 48 different categories! For younger students you can allow more time for them to think and write, while older students will love the challenge of the timer.

Are you looking for an easy and fun way to review Valentine's Day vocabulary with your Spanish students? Then look no further! This low-prep set of three matamoscas (flyswatter) games is a great way to practice or review Valentine's Day-related vocabulary with your elementary or secondary class.

This activity is intended for use as a paired game, but it can also be used as a large-group game (by projecting the chosen game page onto your whiteboard). If you're not familiar with how the game is played, it's simple: all you need to play is enough copies of the game board and two different colored writing utensils per pair of students. You call out terms from the call list included with the game boards and each person scrambles to find and mark it before their partner. At the end of the game, the player with the most terms marked wins!

Teaching French Valentine's Day - La Saint Valentin vocabulary?  Looking for an engaging way to get your French students to build their communication skills and vocabulary? Taboo is a fun French speaking and listening game where one student has to guess a word based on clues given in French by other students. The catch is that they cannot mention anything that is included in a list of taboo words.

This taboo game is included in my French Valentine's Day Lesson Plan + Activities BUNDLE.

All of the words on each card are written in French and English. This is very useful as many of the words will be new to students whether they are beginners or very advanced. Classic French Taboo Games Bundle - 3 Versions

Object of the game:

One player tries to get his teammate to guess the word at the top of a card. The player must give clues, but he can't use any of the Taboo words in his description. The taboo words are written beneath the underlined word at the top of the card.

Teams score points for each word successfully guessed. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins.

Beginner students should be allowed to use the French TABOO words printed on the cards. This will encourage them to use new vocabulary and will help them in forming sentences to use as clues.
