Firstly, there are six reading comprehension activities, or informational texts, about:

Outbreak of American Civil War
American Civil War – A Brief Overview
Emancipation Proclamation
Battle of Gettysburg
End of American Civil War & Lincoln Assassination

These activities require NO PREP and have a body of text that students need to read through thoroughly; then they can use the text to find the comprehension and grammar answers. All texts then have an extension activity, crossword puzzle and wordsearch for those fast finishers. Answers, for teacher use, are on the final page of each document.

Then, there are two biography writing units about Abraham Lincoln and Robert E. Lee, an informational writing unit about the Civil War, and an opinion writing unit discussing who was the most influential general. The units have been split into three or four separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each.

In this product, students will learn the English vocabulary word for the 49 different noun vocabulary words presented. Students will learn the difference between is, are, was, and were and how they can be used in writing.

On each page, students will circle the correct word in each given sentence and will then write a sentence using the word they circled and other vocabulary words that are provided to help them make up sentence. Students will also be provided with the spelling and a picture for the nouns presented to help them make up a sentence. An example of what is expected of students is provided in the product.

ESL Colors Vocabulary Workbook and Sentence Review for Newcomers

In this product, students will learn the English vocabulary word for the 16 different color vocabulary words presented.

Students will initially write each vocabulary word in their native language after learning the English word and being shown a picture. At the end of this section, students will have the opportunity to choose 8 color vocabulary words and make up a sentence using each one after answering 5 comprehension questions that relate with colors followed by comprehension questions that relate with colors.

In the second section of the product, there is a color vocabulary review that requires students to write the English word and the word in the student's native language based on the picture and sentence provided for each color vocabulary word.

In the third section of the product, there is a color vocabulary review that requires students to make up a sentence for each color vocabulary word learned in their native language.

In the fourth section of this product, students will then be required to write the English color vocabulary word and make up a sentence in English.

Firstly, there is a great classroom display and sorting activity that is perfect for introducing students to the key events of World War 2. There are 42 posters or cards that include many of the key events from the Second World War. The posters look great as a display in the classroom and the cards are a brilliant introduction to World War II. The displays and cards come both with dates and without dates, so the students can research the dates online before sorting the timeline. The cards look even better when laminated.

Then, there are sixteen close reading activities, or informational texts, about:

2 – World War II (Overview)

3 – Dunkirk and The Battle of Britain

4 – The Blitz

5 – The Eastern Front

6 – The Attack on Pearl Harbor

These activities require NO PREP and have a body of text that students need to read through thoroughly; then they can use the text to find the comprehension and grammar answers. All texts then have an extension activity, crossword puzzle and wordsearch. Answers, for teacher use, are on the final page of each document.

Secondly, there are two biography writing units about Winston Churchill and Adolf Hitler. The units have been split into four separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each.

Then, there is an informational text writing unit about World War II. The unit focuses on key facts about the war, from the Nazi invasion of Poland in 1939 until the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945. The unit has been split into three separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each.

Finally, there is a discussion based writing unit discussing who was the most influential leader from the war. The unit has been split into four separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each.

ESL Prepositions Sentence Review for Newcomers

In this product, students will learn the English vocabulary word for the 28 different prepositions vocabulary words presented.

Students will initially write each preposition in their native language after learning the English word and being shown a picture.

In the second section of the product, students will write each preposition in their native language.

In the third section of the product, students will write each preposition in English and in their native language. At the end of this section, students will have the opportunity to choose 8 prepositions vocabulary words and make up a sentence using each one. Students will also be provided with comprehension sentences that include prepositions.

In the fourth section of the product, students will be required to make up a sentence for each preposition that was learned in their native language.

In the fifth section of this product, students will then be required to make up a sentence using each preposition that was learned in English.
