Make reviewing and practicing One-Step Equations without Negatives fun with this engaging, no prep race game resource! When students solve equations correctly, an animated car moves around the track to the next question, eventually parking the car in a parking lot!

This fun PowerPoint presentation requires no advanced preparation. Your students will have the opportunity to check their work as they solve the 20 equations that are included. All answers are positive integers, making this resource a great way to solve those introductory challenges. It is also can be used for End of Year test review or remediation. It works well with individual, small group, and whole-class scenarios.

This resource is not editable due to the Terms of Use of the stock photo service.

Due to the limitations of Google Slides functionality, this resource must be used in PowerPoint in presentation mode only at this time.

This resource has been used successfully in my classroom and when I’ve had a substitute teacher. We all know how kids love playing games and they will receive additional practice solving One Step Equations at the same time!

How does it work?

• Play in presentation mode.
• Click on the point value category box to go to the question.
• Click on the answer box to view the answer.
• Click on the star icon to go to the scoreboard. (PPTX version only)
• Click on the home icon to return to the main slide.
• Category boxes fade after clicking to keep track of previously answered questions.  (PPTX version only)
• Use the scoreboard to keep track of the score for up to 6 teams. Just click on the numbers to update the score. (PPTX version only)

Please note that the scoreboard feature and the question boxes fading after clicking are unavailable in Google Slides™. I’ve included a printable question tracker and scoreboard if you use the Google Slides™ version.
