Once students have answered each question, they will write an equation that corresponds to or equals their answer. For instance, if their favorite number is 7, they might write the equation 3+4=7 or 14÷2=7. You can give specific guidelines to your students about the equations based on their grade level/ability level. Four examples have been provided.

Cartoon scientists are bound to make you laugh! These 18 science posters for the classroom have 18 scientists with inspirational quotes.
I personally, hand these out to groups of students and have them discuss the meanings of the quotes. Then I would have one cut out the scientist and speech bubble and hang them in my science lab!
This is a great activity to do at the beginning of the school year!
