First, they'll create a quick pixel art from a given example and then they'll create their own! These are also fun lessons to use if you just need something for a one day lesson.

Are you practicing presentational writing skills with your Spanish students?  How about a Group Challenge that focuses on either Día de los Muertos or Halloween?!  This fun and engaging writing challenge will get your students to work together in small groups to produce high quality writing!  This resource includes appropriate writing prompts for years 1, 2 and 3.  Planning done for your whole day!

What I love about writing in this format is that teachers can provide specific feedback and even a grade in about ⅕ of the time!  We can improve students’ skills and confidence by using peer discussion to clear up confusion about things like conjugating verbs and word order in sentences too!  This is a high impact activity to use with your students! 

This resource features 4 writing prompts at 2 levels: Novice High and Intermediate Low.  For both there is a writing prompt based on Day of the Dead and Halloween.  There are lots of extras included too!

This 2 Variable Systems of Equations Mystery Project will have your students excited to review substitution, elimination and system of equations word problems. There is a printable and digital version of this project included! They will be solving 36 questions involving systems of equations. They will get 6 clue sheets with 6 questions on each sheet. The answer choice leftover is the answer to that part of the mystery. They will fill in a storyline with their clues to see the whole mystery come together!

2 "mini" labs that will help students observe and make connections to compounds and mixtures. The first introduces students to the concept of mixtures. The second shows the concept that not all liquids act alike so conclusions can be drawn about how materials interact when put together.

These short activities reinforce or introduce concepts to students. I call these activities “mini labs” because they are simple activities that do not take the whole class period. Teachers know it is important to allow students to reflect on their strengths and weaknesses so they can grow and improve. I created these reflection sheets to make it easy! I simply print these reflections out at the end of each Marking Period and have students reflect on their grade as well as the quality of work they turned in. They then describe how they can improve as we begin the next Marking Period. Reflection sheets are also included in case your school uses Quarters or Trimesters.

This creative Winter Concert Decorations: Art Unit was designed to be printed and displayed as examples while you teach. Use this Google Slide file to display these beautiful images one-by-one on the big screen. For this assignment, I asked students to get with a partner or into small groups and brainstorm subject matter, orientation, and theme of the overall composition. Plus, decide which group member(s) will be in charge of what to draw and where to draw it. Students will need to sketch out ideas first inside a sketchbook, transfer the sketches to Final Copy Paper, outline the large image, and start coloring in everything with crayon. Sadly, most other art materials will ruin the roll paper. I hope you and your kiddos love this! Enjoy!
