"The Answers Are..." is a great Non-Curricular Thinking Task your secondary math students can all access, no matter their skill level. Each task card gives a number bank with 10 integers and 5 target answers your students must create. Using each number in the bank only one time each, students work in random teams of three to create all 5 expressions by adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing. It's more challenging than you might think!

If you are implementing Building Thinking Classrooms this year, "The Answers Are..." is a great thinking task to do with your students at your Vertical Whiteboard stations during the first week of school. Once they solve one of the puzzles, they will keep coming back for more.

This is a set of 30 task cards for reviewing or practicing time. All times are represented as analog clocks, so this can be used in any language. The only times included are on the hour (:00), a quarter past (:15), half past (:30), and quarter 'til (:45). You can use these cards for in-class review, a board game, a centers activity, or for the game SCOOT! Functional money skills such as counting and identifying money to make purchases are critical to successful daily living. Do your students need additional support identifying money, matching dollar amounts to currency and make purchases using the "next dollar up" method? This No Prep Unit reinforces these skills with progressively harder tasks beginning with matching dollar to dollar, progressing on to matching prices with dollars, then using the next dollar up method to make a purchase. The currency is US dollars from $1 to $10. There 3 levels of learning with 10 cards per level.

This is an excellent resource for Middle or High School students with IEP Math or Money Goals, Transition to Work Students, or Elem students learning money skills. It is a great addition to any math/ supported employment program or math center. These activities can also support Transition Plans!
