This product was made for students to learn about the 50 states, the spelling of each state, and each state's abbreviation. This product includes slides that are made up of the states that begin with the same letter on each slide, as these states can be confusing. For example: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, and Arkansas as well as their abbreviations so students can see the difference. Slides that show states that don't have any similarities, like Georgia, and states that have two words, like New York, are also addressed.

Each slide is provided with the state name and the abbreviation. Students can attempt to fill in the blanks of the abbreviations that were reviewed on each previous slide as well. This helps students to learn the spelling, abbreviations, and location of each state. This product can be used for students who benefit from having material adapted and it can also be used with students who are on grade level as well.

The example provides students with a foundation of what is expected when they complete their own state research report. This product was developed for students who benefit from adapted instruction. This product can also be used with students who are on grade level as well.

In this product, students will learn about the Oregon Trail Westward Expansion. It covers the pre-Columbian era through 1810. It also features four specific notable Native American women from this time period. Reading Assignment and Worksheet

This four-page Reading Assignment and Worksheet with Answer Key provides an overview of the various activities, attributes and activities of women in Native American tribal groups. It covers the time period from the pre-Columbian era through 1810 and highlights three different tribal groups. By the 1820s, the Native American tribes came under increasing pressure from American settlers and their lives began to change with westward expansion. These impacts will be addressed in separate resources about women and westward expansion.

Students can read this as an in-class assignment, a homework assignment or it can also be a group activity in a classroom. It is also ideally suited for home-schoolers or independent learners who want to learn more. A Worksheet with questions based on the reading is included, along with an Answer Key.

This PowerPoint Lesson contains thirteen slides that provide a deeper look at the Victory Gardens planted during World War II in the United States. It also includes an Easel Assessment for students to take. You may use it to teach F2F or provide as an independent supplemental learning resource. The slides contain fascinating and engaging visuals including posters as well as instructions and text from actual pamphlets produced by the U.S. Department of Agriculture during the war. Students might be surprised to find out that there were even Victory Gardens in the Japanese-American internment camps. Victory Gardens provided essential fruits and vegetables to American citizens. It was a wholly volunteer effort and involved youth through adults and became a very successful endeavor during a time of great need.

This slide presentation is equally valuable for the home-schooled student or for those instructors who want to provide supplemental information to their students. This presentation will deepen student understanding about an experience that shaped a nation.

This 19-slide PowerPoint presentation covers the early years of the Women’s Rights Movement in the United States, from 1840 through 1865. It is an ideal lesson for the antebellum time period or as a stand-alone resource for women’s history. It is also a good resource during Women’s History Month.

Each slide contains information and graphics that highlight how the Women’s Rights Movement developed during these twenty-five years. It points to the influential role of abolition in helping women to become activists and then the realization that women needed to take action on their own behalf. Key women are highlighted including the giants of the era such as Lucretia Mott, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Susan B. Anthony and Sojourner Truth.

Women and the Industrial Revolution Power Point Lesson

This 12-slide lesson covers women's experiences during the Industrial Revolution between 1865 and 1910 primarily. For women in the cities, changes in society were rapid and significant. Slides review the stratification in society and women's roles within those social classes during this time. Slides include textual information, primary source images and text excerpts and Reflection Questions. These slides can be delivered in-person in a classroom or as a supplemental lesson for students to complete on their own.
