Do your Spanish students struggle in interpersonal speaking and conversations?  Have you tried Integrated Listening and Speaking activities with your Spanish students?  Use these IPA activities to get students listening and responding- just like in tests like AAPPL for the Seal of Biliteracy!  Integrated Performance Assessments mimic real-world interactions, and these activities are great practice for communication!

How can this product work for distance learning?

I personally have used these readings in my online classes during our COVID-19 closure with success! Use the digital file to post the stories with questions and activities on Google Classroom. The students can read the stories, insert their answers to the comprehension questions, and fill out one of the practice activities. You could also assign the stories ahead of time and set up a virtual class meeting to discuss the stories, or read the stories together as a whole class or in small groups during a virtual meet-up!

Are you looking for a quick, fun way to get your students practicing the conjugation and sentence creation in Spanish? This fun, low-prep dice activity is a great way to reinforce various grammar topics throughout your course! For many of the activities included in this money-saving bundle, you can specify the tense, so they could be used at all levels!

There are 5 mots-croisé activities to make sure students know what the verbs mean. Clues are infinitive written in English. Fill in the crossword puzzle with French infinitives.

Sudoku puzzles - 50 pages

Sudoku puzzles are for conjugation practice. There are individual puzzles for all of the verbs except “falloir” and “pleuvoir” as they are only conjugated in the IL form. Two versions are included for alternate conjugations of the verb “s’asseoir” so you can choose the one you like to use and teach!

These Spanish Scenario Task Cards are designed to increase skill and confidence with creative speaking and writing!  Scenario Task Cards are a great, NO PREP way to get your Spanish 2, 3 and 4 and even AP Spanish students speaking or writing every day! They have open-ended prompts for students to use to tell a story orally or on paper.   (These are generic enough to be used with any curriculum!)

There are 20 different scenarios per theme which give students an idea of what to talk about in a story that they make up. Each set of scenario cards come in 3 versions!  First,  a large scale digital version that can be displayed for the class.  (Perfect for a warm-up!) The other version is printable (4 cards per page) and comes in both black and white and an attractive color version. 

Some cards provide helpful vocab that students may need to discuss the scenario. Some sets come with a vocab list that can be printed (maybe laminated) so that students can integrate related vocabulary that they may not know already.

There are 8 Guided Conversation activities. Guided Conversations provide a general outline for students to use. It helps them keep the conversation going with a partner so they can continue to create with language! They are differentiated between Novice High and Intermediate versions. The Novice versions have helpful vocabulary on their guides. And they can be used and re-used over and over! Switch partners, switch roles, use them at different points in the unit... and use them as review for more advanced students! Teacher notes make these a breeze to use!

There are 8 Integrated Listening and Speaking activities. The themes are the same 8 themes as the Guided Conversations. These ILS activities contain audio links. Students listen and then record their response. These activities are very much like the AAPPL and STAMP tests and are a great pre-cursor for the Simulated Conversation on the AP Spanish test. The audio links are already recorded for you, but the teacher script is also included in case you want to record your own voice, or show students what they heard when going over their responses. Each theme has 2 activities. There are 5 audio prompts in each (so a total of 10 per theme.) The 2nd activity is meant to be a bit more challenging. You can use that to differentiate for students, or use the 2nd activity later in the unit!

How Do I Use This Resource?

• The included teacher notes will provide all of these suggestions
• Students will work in partners with guided conversations
• Students can switch roles and also switch partners with the guided conversations to make them reusable countless times!
