A research task on the different claims to the English throne in 1066AD. Students access the website on the research sheet for the information as a starting point. They are required to produce an argument with evidence from their research.

This activity introduces the main concept and arguments for and against the conscription debate. The students work to identify sources and which side of the debate they support. There are linked free online sources to support the student research.

A no prep case study for middle/high school activity on Sir Monash, Australia greatest general of WW1 and who changed the doctrine of The Australian Army. This study looks at his life from his enlistment to his death and his impact on the Anzac legend.

The study includes a simple source analysis question "To what extent" on two of his battles. All the media is available online and linked for the teacher or the students to access directly through QR codes or URL.

Suitable for ww1 History all secondary years.
