By Professional Development and Teacher Prep

Engage your teachers just like your teachers engage their students!

Engaging professional development is crucial because it captures teachers' attention, making the learning experience more enjoyable and relevant. It ensures active participation, leading to better retention and application of new skills and strategies. By fostering enthusiasm and motivation, engaging sessions contribute to a positive learning culture, ultimately benefiting both teachers and their students.

These professional development presentations are all editable and can be tailored to the needs of your teachers and staff members.

Engaging Students in Math Professional Development (Google Slides Copy

Link)

This innovative professional development template is a great way to get started by teaching teachers how to implement engaging activities during math time with their current curriculum. It is editable to add details about your curriculum, pictures, etc.

Engaging Stations Professional Development (Canva Copy Link)

As educators, we shifted away from incorporating hands-on resources in the classroom during the onset of COVID-19. Utilizing hands-on materials provides students with a tactile and experiential approach, offering a tangible way for learners to connect with abstract concepts and enhance understanding. Through hands-on engagement, such as manipulating objects or participating in interactive activities, students can more readily comprehend intricate ideas and improve information retention. It's now opportune to revisit and rediscover the hands-on resources available for classroom use or those that may have been overlooked.

Ron Clark 55 Essential Rules Slides (Canva Copy Link)

The daily focus is on one rule at a time, spanning from Rule 1 to Rule 55. You have the option to print a weekly slide to share with parents or use it as a classroom guide. Additionally, you can download the slide as an image for social media sharing or use it on your smartboard for teaching and modeling each week's rule. Each slide features the corresponding Ron Clark rule accompanied by a relevant picture. The editable slides allow customization to align with your school's preferences, including the option to replace pictures with images of your students exemplifying the rule.

Engaging Top Chef Professional Development Template (Canva Copy Link)

This Canva Template Presentation revolves around the "Top Chef" theme, featuring a teach-off challenge for teachers to showcase their expertise in the focused teaching strategy or best practice emphasized in the professional development. Within a specified time frame, teachers will research the topic, create presentations, and present in front of judges, fostering a dynamic and collaborative learning environment. Similar to the show "Top Chef," this format encourages teachers to learn from each other, gaining insights into diverse strategies for classroom implementation.

Number Sense Professional Development Template (Canva Copy Link)

This number sense presentation equips teachers with a variety of instructional strategies and activities to make mathematical concepts more accessible and engaging. This will enhance their ability to tailor teaching methods to diverse learning styles. Teachers can seamlessly integrate number sense concepts into the existing curriculum.

Behavior Management Professional Development Survivor Theme (Canva Copy Link)

Transform your typical P.D. into an unforgettable journey with a Survivor-themed twist. Engage your educators in challenges that mirror real-life pedagogical scenarios, fostering teamwork and strategic thinking.

Vocabulary PD (Canva Copy Link)

This vocabulary presentation starts with an intriguing icebreaker that gives an “aha” moment.  The PD equips teachers with various instructional strategies and activities to make the concepts more accessible and engaging. This professional development will enhance their ability to tailor teaching methods to diverse learning styles. Teachers can seamlessly integrate vocabulary concepts into the existing curriculum.

This comprehensive PD session is designed to:

  • Equip teachers with the skills to write successful grants.
  • Empower administrators to secure funding through grant applications.
  • Guide both new and veteran teachers in creating the classroom of their dreams without personal financial burden.

Introduction to Instructional Coaching (Google Slides Link)

Are you an instructional coach looking for a way to introduce yourself to your teachers and staff? This professional development session is designed to provide role clarity and illustrate how you can support them throughout the school year.

Addition and Subtraction Strategies PD (Canva Copy Link)

This professional development session offers:

  • True/False Icebreaker: An engaging activity to help distinguish between effective and ineffective strategies.
  • Phases of Learning Math Facts: Insights into the stages students go through, including foundational concepts and derived facts.
  • Effective Strategies: Techniques such as quick looks and games to enhance understanding.
