Digital Collaborative Story Time is a communal writing activity in which students practice using Freytag's Pyramid plot structure in their own narrative writing. As a completely paperless resource, it is ideal for your school's computer lab or for distance learning using Google Classroom. With this intrinsically engaging activity, each student has the chance to tap into their creativity while applying knowledge of the 7 steps of Freytag's Pyramid. Distance learning can certainly be a struggle for both students and teachers, so this lesson aims to provide a welcome break from the monotony while encouraging creativity and classroom community, even in a digital setting.

In this no prep activity, students roll a die find the corresponding instructions, and create their own sentences using onomatopoeia, oxymorons, personification, alliteration, hyperbole, similes, or metaphors! The first one to complete a row or column wins the game! Virtual dice included!

**You are receiving 3 different games but they can be played over and over again as each roll of the die provides students with new sentences to write! This truly is all you need to keep your students engaged and motivated to practice creating their own sentences using figurative language.
