9th Grade Graphing PowerPoint Presentations

Finding intercepts no prep lesson for linear equations. Students will ultimately be graphing linear equations by finding the intercepts.

A PowerPoint gives examples of finding intercepts from the graph, from its equation then using the intercepts to graph the equation.

The accompanying worksheet has questions for each of these skills. There are axes for each question that requires drawing should you prefer to save time for your students.

• A PowerPoint with 3 slides of examples - one teacher led, one for students to try themselves. First example is with a positive slope, second with a negative slope and the final one of the form ax + by = c
• Worksheet with axes draw and table of values for students to fill in. Answers are included at the end of this document. There are 7 questions with at least 2 graphs per question.
