Activities to accompany French Duolingo Podcast Episode 79:La Coureuse de Bamako

These Activities to accompany French Duolingo Podcast Episode 79: La Coureuse de Bamako will help your students with their listening comprehension skills while also entertaining them.
Each podcast is in both English and French - so even novice-high students can enjoy the stories. The podcasts are approximately 24 minutes long and are available for free on the Duolingo podcast site. This set of activities it meant to accompany episode 79, which tells the story of a young woman who dreams of winning an Olympic medal for her country.
The activities include both pre- and post-listening activities. To prepare your students to listen to the podcast, you will find:
During the podcast, students can take notes on the sheet provided in the activity if you wish them to do so.
After listening, students can do the comprehension questions. There is a set of 1o questions, in both English and French to check for understanding. There is also a page with 10 true and false questions and 10 fill in the blank questions.
If you would like the students to read the complete transcript of the podcast, you will find it on the Duolingo Podcast site. Please note that I am not affiliated with Duolingo and these activities do not contain the transcript or podcast - but they do contain the link to the site where you can legally find both.

French reading Compréhension de Lecture Les Sapeurs

This French reading comprehension activity will teach your students about the history of SAPEurs and their role in African culture. It is suitable for novice-high/intermediate-low students with teacher guidance and higher-level students to work independently. If you teach AP French, this reading can be useful in giving your students practice reading nonfiction articles for the interpretive section of the test. The reading can lead to discussion or writing activities to include the other two modes of communication.
Les SAPEurs are members of a special society, one that loves to dress elegantly and show off their style. Despite living in poverty, many of the members of the society find a way to dress like the most elegant gentlemen of the past. Learn about the origins of the society and their current situation in this reading for intermediate/advanced French learners. Reading is in passé composé and imparfait.

French Passé Composé - Être ou Avoir - French Exercise, Quiz, Worksheet

French passé composé with être or avoir worksheet including regular, irregular, and reflexive verbs. Some simple negation is used. 50 sentences are written in the present tense. Students rewrite sentences in the passé composé. Take a closer look in the preview!
Verbs in the present tense sentences are underlined. Students have to identify the infinitives before rewriting sentences in the past, making past participle agreement when necessary. An answer key is provided.

Être, Aller, Avoir, Faire - Beginner French Listening Comprehension With Audio

Quick and easy to use French dialogue listening comprehension for beginners exercise using être, aller, avoir and faire in the present tense. The dialogue is between Arthur, 9 years old, and Jeanne, the principal at his new school. Verbs are written in the present tense, and are in bold print and underlined. Audio, a cloze exercise, conjugation charts, and a fill in the blank exercise are included.
My students enjoy performing this dialogue as a skit in front of the class, and it's also perfect for using to speak with partners! Everything is in French, so this resource is perfect for traditional French classrooms as well as immersion.
