What's included:

  • "I Have a Dream" speech in Google doc with space for marking the text
  • 5 different dice with 6 questions on each in color and black and white
  • One blank dice for students to write their own prompts

Directions:

  • Cut and paste to make a cube.
  • Take turns rolling the dice and answering questions with a group.
  • If time allows let the conversations flow naturally after each question. Students will love pointing out similarities/differences in perception of the text.

Example Prompts:

  • Has King's dream become true in today's America?
  • How does Martin Luther King, Jr. appeal to pathos? (emotions)
  • What is one question you would ask Dr. King?
