Are you looking for a community building speaking activity for the beginning of school in which the students can get to know each other while reviewing the present tense? This is a great Back to School ice breaker activity for levels Spanish 2, 3 or 4 for the first month of school or if you want to give the students an opportunity to get out of their seats and talk to their classmates. This would be a fun social emotional activity since it promotes positive communication among the students in the class. It is also an interactive way to reinforce the present tense at the beginning of the year. Even though this is a novice activity, it would be a good review for the upper level classes who need to know the present, past and future tenses for the Seal of Biliteracy test.

I use this sheet to easily grade Interactive Notebooks. Instead of flipping through page after page of 100+ student notebooks, I have students fill out a notebook check sheet with the assignments, dates and page numbers. When I grade an assignment (or 2-3 at a time), I write the grade down on the sheet.
