The respiratory system is vital for gas exchange, allowing oxygen in and carbon dioxide out. Key components include:

1. Nose: Filters and moistens air.
2. Nasal Cavity: Conditions air and detects smells.
3. Pharynx: Connects respiratory and digestive pathways.
4. Larynx: Houses vocal cords and protects the trachea.
5. Trachea: Conducts air to the bronchi, lined with cilia.
6. Bronchi: Branches into each lung, further dividing into smaller passages.

8. Lungs: Main organs for gas exchange, containing alveoli.

These Dental Health Activities are a Dental Health Month (February) educational package designed for children in kindergarten through 6th grade. A range of activities that can be used as individual exercises or as part of a lesson plan depending on what works best for you and your students are included in the package. The most important thing to remember is that in order to empower children to take charge of their oral health, they need to understand that their mouth is a window to the health of the rest of their body, therefore it is important they keep it healthy by:

• Brushing their teeth for two minutes, twice a day.
• Selecting less-sugary foods and beverages over sugar-filled ones.
• Two annual visits to the dentist.

Some Activities included in this pack :

• Healthy Smile Vocabulary worksheet: a worksheet with definitions for 10 dental vocabulary words and an exercise to practice ordering them alphabetically.
• Things that make me smile! writing activity: A worksheet that asks children to write sentences about things that make them smile (e.g., “I smile when I play with friends.”).
• Daniel Goes to the Dentist reading activity: A reading exercise on dental health that includes a quiz at the end.
• Smile Activities worksheet: A coloring page that incorporates activities to teach kids the value of sealants and familiarize them with dental terms.
• Healthy Smile pledge certificate: A pledge certificate that kids can sign to show that they’re committed to maintaining good dental hygiene.
• Teeth Brushing calendar: A monthly and weekly teeth brushing calendar with toothbrush and floss icons for students to color in each time they brush and floss.
• Good for My Teeth, Bad for My Teeth worksheet: A coloring page designed to assist kids in distinguishing between foods that are healthy for their teeth and those that are unhealthy.

This fun dental health printable activity will help kids learn about their teeth and how to take care of them.
