This is a 2 page printer friendly black and white worksheet to print and hand to your students. While you read Would You Rather be a Bullfrog? by Theo LeSieg.

Tell you students something along the lines of:

"I'm going to read you a fun story. You need to think about each question comparing 2-3 nouns. A Noun is a person, place, thing, or idea. You wont tell me out loud which one you would rather be you are going color your choice. This is a great way to practice writing while listening."

The idea behind this worksheet is to allow students to:

This short four-page close reading and worksheet activity provides an overview of how women participated in the military during World War II. It covers nurses and the women who supported the other branches of the military: the Women Army Corps (WAC), the WAVES (Navy), SPARS (Coast Guard), Marines and WASPs. Students can read this on their own as a homework assignment or it can be a group activity in a classroom. It is also ideally suited for home-schoolers or independent learners who want to learn more.
