My Mini Bible Letter Books

One for each letter of the alphabet! Each mini book is 7 mini pages on two full sheet of paper. They are easy to print, cut down the middle and staple together.

Each Book Includes

• Page 1: A Bible verse that begins with the letter. This can be used for memorization too!

  • Ex) All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Rom.3:23

• Page 2: Letter with Bible Word, Picture & short lesson

  • •Ex) A is for Adam
  • •Adam was the first man God created.

• •Page 3:Another Letter with Bible Word, Picture & short lesson

  • •Ex) a is for angel
  • •An angel told Mary she was going to have Baby Jesus.

• Page 4: Uppercase Learn & Practice: you can use these pages to teach what the letter looks like and how to write it, you could also introduce the sound.

  • Say & trace it- The letter is shown with numbered traceable lines inside it for the student to follow. Could use a highlighter

Letter Sounds Pictures ( Pg. 58-65)

•Organized three letters at a time, these are pictures of things that begin with each letter of the alphabet. These are small enough to cut out and paste onto the last page of the mini book. Very little ones – You could let them find the right pictures then you may want to cut them out for them. I would suggest printing them on cardstock. I used a color cardstock.

Alphabet Posters Sample ( 67-70)

•I created full sized posters to be used to decorate your classroom, use as visuals, stick to your fridge or dry erase board to remember the letter of the week. I provided three free samples for you in this resource. Post on cardstock or laminate.

What's great about these mini books is they include almost all of the resources that are in other kinds of letter of the week curriculums but i_nstead of wasting tons of paper, you are are only printing two pages a week_ !

These were created with Preschoolers in mind, but they could be used with Kindergarten as review, as remediation or for sped.

How do I set up the activity?

Just print and play! Everything you need is included in your download. You don’t need locks (you can prepare one or even use my digital lock included in this kit if you wish to), envelopes, or special equipment. You can hang or hide the puzzles or just spread them out on the kitchen table.

Do I have to print out the game materials for every kid?

Nope! You ONLY have to print out the answer sheet for each kid or group. Just one set of the actual puzzles is all you need! If you choose to use the digital version to save paper and ink, then you will only need to print the QR codes for the Mission (get the kids to scan and read this first), Hint Cards and Puzzle Tasks 1-6.

Do I have to print out the Mystery Door for the game?

Nope! I suggest that you show the picture of the door + QR code on your phone or laptop for pupils to scan and enter their 4-digit secret code. You can also use an actual lock where the kids can actually enter the 4-digit secret codes to complete the game.

Most worksheets require students to use evidence/details from the passages to support ideas. Worksheets come in different formats. ANSWER KEYS for all worksheets are included!

Level Complexity:

• The passages have different levels of difficulty for differentiation. In addition, Question Worksheets range from basic comprehension questions (lower-level) to inferential questions (higher-level).

• These Question Worksheets can be used as a quiz, test, formative assessment, homework assignment, classwork assignment, or can even be used during guided practice! A great idea would be to see how well students perform with the basic comprehension questions, and if they do well on that, you can challenge them further by giving them the inferential thinking question worksheets!

• You can even gather a small group of students and practice skills including basic comprehension, inferences, details, and writing. There's a worksheet for each skill! • Blank Verse: A 2-page handout on the when and why Shakespeare employs blank verse (i.e. unrhymed iambic pentameter). This handout explains how blank verse emerged as a popular verse form as well as what distinguished Shakespeare's usage of blank verse. When and why do some of Shakespeare's characters break with the regular rhythms of blank verse? Why might some characters alternate between using verse and prose? (2 pages)

• Scansion Practice: Students learn to identify iambic pentameter by scanning 10 well-known quotations from Shakespeare's plays. Includes answer key. (4 pages)

• Quizzes on Meter (x2): The 2 quizzes on meter are designed to asses whether students are able to accurately scan Shakespearean lines. Each quiz features 10 quotations from Shakespeare's plays. Includes answer keys. (8 pages)

• Shakespearean Insult Generator: Shakespeare's characters are exceptionally creative in their elaboration of insults. Indeed, some scholars have suggested that the insults in Shakespeare's plays amount to their own education in wit. If your students are sufficiently mature, you could use this exercise to invite them to generate their own original Shakespearean insults. (2 pages)
