How it Works:
- Students may start at ANY card with their pencil and paper on a clipboard. If this is too much to carry: Adjust the activity, by “hiding” the cards around the classroom writing surfaces such as tables and desks and have a pencil at each station.
- Write the number of the starting card in the top left square.
- Look at the picture, say what it is and think about what letters/word matches.
- Walk around the room searching for the letter/word match of the picture located in the oval in the top right of another card.
- When found, write the answer on the line in the first box.
- Following the arrow on their paper to box 2, write the number of this card in the box on the top left.
- Repeat until all boxes are full. Students should return to starting card when completed.

This comprehensive and engaging kindergarten literacy interactive notebook includes phonics, grammar, and reading responses for the entire year. It is a fabulous way for your students to practice their skills and show off what they have learned. Many of the common core standards are covered. It can be printed to use in the classroom or it can be used on a digital device for remote learning in Google Classroom. It has very simple cut-outs that make it easy for young students who are just getting used to scissors. Students will cut on the dotted lines, fold on the solid lines, and paste them into a standard-sized 8.5" X 11" Notebook.
