1. Story 1: "The Big Rain Puddle" Sam and Jan play in a big rain puddle, splashing and laughing until they’re covered in mud! Activities: Story elements and inference questions.

2. Story 2: "The Lost Kitten" Mia and Ben discover a lost kitten and decide to help it find its way home. Activities: multiple-choice comprehension questions and a sequencing activity.

3. Story 3: "The Picnic Surprise" Lily and Max enjoy a picnic, only to be surprised by a furry friend! Activities: Making inferences and making predictions.

Each story is between 125–150 words and is written with Level G vocabulary and structure, targeting early readers who are building confidence with slightly longer texts. Each set of questions and activities reinforces key comprehension skills, including main idea recognition, sequencing, character feelings, and making predictions. Answer keys are provided for easy assessment.

Arthur Goes to Camp is a great book to read for students to learn about working together, to learn new camping vocabulary, to learn to give new things a try, learn about going to summer camp, and what to do when going to camp, etc. Students are presented with a variety of comprehension questions based on what happens in the book, Arthur Goes to Camp. Students can answer these questions as the book is read to them, as they read the book independently or they can use the text for lookbacks once the book is finished.

Arthur Babysits is a great book to read for students to learn responsibility, not just with babysitting or taking care of a younger sibling or cousin, but with homework, cleaning their bedroom, etc. Students are presented with a variety of comprehension questions based on what happens in the book, Arthur Babysits. Students can answer these questions as the book is read to them, as they read the book independently or they can use the text for lookbacks once the book is finished.

As students are learning the 40 pre-primer sight words in this product, they will be provided with each word, an example of the word used in a sentence (along with some visuals to help them understand unfamiliar vocabulary words), and the opportunity to make up a sentence themselves using the word. I find that with my students who are Deaf/hard of hearing/ELL, when they make up sentences using the newly learned sight word, it helps them to remember how to spell the word, the meaning, and how it is used. My students love booklets of any kind that they can refer back to. Once they have come up with their sentences, they can include pictures that they print and cut out, draw pictures freehand, or find pictures in a magazine that they can add to each page of the pre-primer sight word booklet that matches each sentence they come up with. This gives students the opportunity to connect what they are learning about in the classroom with their own personal interests. This booklet is perfect for students that are on grade level as well as students who require instructional information to be adapted.
