Mental Health Empathy, Compassion, and Acceptance Activities and Tips

In this product, students will learn about empathy, compassion, and acceptance which will help identify the characteristics of different types of relationships, personal space and boundaries of others, students will look at a variety of pictures to determine healthy/unhealthy relationships between families and friends, learn about the circles program - different relationships we have with people we know, invading personal space and how to avoid doing that, interview a friend and ask them questions using turn taking strategies to develop healthy peer relationships. Students will also learn about gratitude and forgiveness for so they understand the meaning of gratitude and forgiveness along with a variety of ideas to carry this out, and students can answer questions/circle images presented in the product showing what they are grateful for.

The Berenstain Bears and Too Much TV comprehension questions product is useful for students that read the book. The questions are placed in order with the book. Students can answer these questions as the book is read or after they have finished reading the book or listening to the book. While reading this book and answering questions, students will discuss the sequence of events that were taken when the cubs returned home from school, the sequence of events students follow when they get home from school, needs vs. wants, the importance of communication, learning that there are other things to do as opposed to watch TV, and the importance of being present with your family. Students can answer these short answer questions, true/false, multiple choice questions, fill in the blank questions, and vocabulary/picture labeling questions as the book is read to them, as they read the book independently or they can use the text for lookbacks once the book is finished. Vocabulary words, their meanings, and examples of the words used in sentences are presented. Students have the opportunity to use those words in sentences as well.

The Berenstain Bears Learn about Strangers comprehension questions product is useful for students that read the book. The questions are placed in order with the book. Students can answer these questions as the book is read or after they have finished reading the book or listening to the book. While reading this book and answering these questions, students will learn better ways to solve problems, trust their gut or how they feel about something, learn about stranger danger, what to do if a stranger talks to them, and reminds students that rules are set up to maintain safety. Students can answer these short answer questions and yes/no questions as the book is read to them, as they read the book independently or they can use the text for lookbacks once the book is finished. Vocabulary words, their meanings, and examples of the words used in sentences are presented. Students have the opportunity to use those words in sentences as well.
